Colorado Ghost Towns and Alpine Passes

4 reviews
Experience the remote mountain ghost towns via miners' tracks over alpine passes of the Rocky Mountains. See the high-country splendor - beautiful meadows of blooming columbines and lupines, rushing mountain streams and waterfalls and abundant local wildlife. Explore the mountains the way locals do, guided by highly-trained local experts. Using sturdy off-road vehicles, we explore remote, well-preserved ghost towns. The once legendary Como, Tin Cup, Pitkin are on our route. Crossing Boreas, Weston, Cottonwood and Cumberland Passes allows you to see the Rocky Mountains on remote miners' tracks off the beaten path and without tourists. Experience Colorado like a true local!

Excellent adventure with skimobile tour, nice views, tracks and area we covered, so many stories about the place. The peak was gorgeous when you reach the top, completely adrenaline rush when we were going down.

Hands down the best thing to do while visiting this area! Well worth the price and the tour goes on longer then the 2 1/2 hours! We enjoyed the trails for sure but when they let you just have at it, that was good for the soul! Get out and enjoy this it’s worth the hype!!! The tour guides are also amazing and fun, they know their stuff!

Amazing experience from the minute we walked through the door to the very last minute of our tour. Ty and his boys are fun, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. A must do for any skills level. The scenery was beyond words. Can't wait to come back again.

This was the first time for me to snowmobile, and it was even better than I had imagined! Travis took great care of our group to ensure we were safe while we sledded along the path and zipped off-trail. He happily snapped our family photos and allowed us to play in the field at our own pace. The tour was better than advertised and the customer service was outstanding. The enthusiasm from Travis and Ty was contagious and now I want my own sled. My husband, teenaged daughter, and I consider this to be the highlight of our winter ski trip.

Our time spent on the mountain on snowmobiles was the best experience during our stay in Glenwood Springs. Ty loves sharing his vast knowledge of the beautiful Nat’l forrest and it’s apparent that he truly wants each guest to have a great experience and leave having a greater love for the mountains. It is surreal being over 10,000 feet up on the mountain surrounded by unbelievable beauty. Truly life-changing. Everyone needs to have this experience at least once❤️
