Horsetooth Mountain Open Space has some great hikes, even up to Horsetooth rock itself. The trails up to the rock and around the falls loop are well maintained, but there is very little shade. If you are prepared, there are some great hikes. Be sure to have lots of water and if you plan to be out longer and walk... More

We didn't camp or stay out near the reservoir but it's super pretty even just to visit . The campground there is one of those campgrounds where you are right on top of each other, but if you don't mind that , it's a great choice . We stayed in town at a Hotel, but wanted to check out the... More

Nice to take a walk , chances are you won't walk into a rattle snake but people have been bitten, before dusk when it's just getting dark they warm up on the roads or dirt trails, not a good time to walk with little kidos. Other wise thru out the day u won't see them. Gets crowded at the boat... More

What a fun place to go! If you have a boat jet ski, long board canoe etc this is the place to go! You can camp, hike ,picnic or just hang out. I was fortunate to have met up with friends that had a boat, docked it in the lake and all these other boats came along and hung out... More

Terrific hikes and incredible panoramic views. You must hike the CSU "A". This is Fort Collins at its best.

There is so many endless things to do. You'll definitely want to make a weekend of it. You'll get to enjoy it in the early spring completely full late summer there is lots of beach line and many wonderful Coves to hang out in for the day or camp for the weekend. Pick your adventure exclamation point

This is a great, short drive from downtown Fort Collins and offers unbeatable views for the region... You enter the foothills of the mountains and tucked away between the ridges is a large lake! Boating and jet skis abound... But the best part is just taking in the view as you drive around the lake to the marina/campground.

Nice, relaxing area for getaway from Fort Collins proper. Keep eyes open for mountain / road bicyclists on roadways! Several areas to park and hike, picnic, boat, or camp.

A fun hike, not TOO far, however, in August the falls are just a trickle. Kinda bummed me out because if we had known we might have gone on to the lookout instead.
