This is one of my favorite spots to wakeboard and camp. I love the outdoor space and if you drive further, you hit Estes.

Even though a mountain lion recently attacked a jogger, for the most part this is a very pleasant and safe area to hike. As in any area of Colorado, you are naive if you hike without bear spray and a knife. Make noise by talking...More

Great place to hike, run or mountain bike. If you start at the Soderberg trailhead, there are options for flatter terrain (and you can wander into the adjacent Lory State Park to extend your mileage).

The drive up the mountain overlooking the city of Fort Collins is spectacular. Being one with nature is almost spiritual. Cleanses the mind and soul. Add a little music and you'll be in heaven.

I love coming here to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife. I have visited the Horsetooth Mountain area during each of the 4 seasons and I was always pleased with my experience. If you love hiking then this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
