Running on unpaved path! Yay!

I love this park. It is large enough to never feel like it's crowded, but small enough to feel like a community park. The best part (that is missing from many other parks IMHO) is the dirt/gravel paths that allow those of us with bad knees (and who probably shouldn't be running!) a place in town for a short "trail"... This park is probably most known for the dog park that has a pond for the dogs to swim and the kids area that has a water feature to play in. There is a wide sidewalk around the perimeter of the park for walking/jogging/biking. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, fields for football and soccer, shelters for parties and a... More

Hands down-best dog park ever. The dog pond is the best thing for my dog, he cannot get enough of it. He also enjoys the fenced in running area. My only complaint would be that I have encountered dogs that are not properly socialized to be at a dog park. Other than that it is well maintained and most of... More

Fort Collins have many parks worth visiting. The scenery is beautiful and the park land is very well maintained. My grand kids enjoyed themselves.

My husband and I were doing some bike riding in Fort Collins and happened by this trail completely by accident. It was amazing. So many off shoots and beautiful pictures to take. It went through canyons, farmland and then the city. Would love to do it from head to toe, next time we are in town.

Don't be surprised by crowds yelling at youth soccer or volleyball on the grass or sand or a pickup basketball game. Trail encircles the park which is spacious and its trails allows connectivity to other trails that take you higher or those that take you toward the center of town. Great place for the kids needing to unwind with a... More

We bring our dog here all the time. There are 4 separate fenced in spaces in case your dog is shy or Intimidated by others. The pond is wonderful in the summer. Occasionally there are aggressive dogs that show up. This makes the choice of fenced in areas even better. Great birding around the park as well, especially grassland sparrows... More

I love this park! It's only a few years old, but one of my favorites. There's a walking/biking path, playground, dog park, and much more. There is no better place to fly a kite, or to take a picnic. And the Northern Colorado Veterans Plaza is right next to it. Don't miss that.
