The guide, "Alphabet", was very enthusiastic and was full of knowledge. We were horseback riding in snow. The horses were suited for the correct rider's weight. The kids loved their dogs and other farm animals that were there. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. The guide taught us how to trot and do other things with the horses.... More

I took my family for a ride here and we enjoyed it a lot. I have 3 young kids ages 7 to 12. The 7 year old had a blast and she is afraid of animals. The horses were so calm that she never felt afraid and just had the time of her life riding her horse. Sometimes we went... More

Third time visiting Platte Ranch and it was just as awesome as the first. This year my 7 year old was able to ride by herself and loved when we had the horses trotting. Awesome views of the mountains in all directions. You can even see Pikes Peak! Highly recommend!

Big open range views, horses are healthy and happy, long distant views, and the staff is sooo friendly.

We had 11 of us horseback riding from 5 years old to 60+ and SHAWN and his crew were stellar. They provided the perfect experience of walking through flatlands, climbing beautiful mountains, and trotting in the open fields. We felt completely safe and all of the kids ranging from 5-11 had a blast. Would highly recommend this to anybody of... More

Kelsey and Caroline were our guides for our trip, and both did an excellent job. We had a great ride, and saw a large herd of elk! We will definitely be back!

We took our 10 and 13 year olds hear and had a blast! Guides were so helpful with riding tips and pointing out wildlife like antelope and coyotes. We rode horses through a shallow creek and through the trees and meadows with great backdrop of mountains. Even had a chance to let horses run! We didn't have to ride single... More

We went to Platte Ranch based on other great reviews and a friend of ours recommended it as well. We were NOT disappointed at all! The staff at the ranch were so welcoming and kind to all of the families. They engaged with everyone and made sure that your riding experience was safe and going well. The property is amazing...
