A spectacular place to visit and ease the mind and body. You can walk, run, or sit back and take in the scenery. The warm weather welcomes paddle boats, the winter weather calls to the skaters and ice fishermen. Did I mention the wildlife that...More

Ice skating outside surrounded by the mountains is a truly magical experience. No, the ice is not pristine like an indoor rink but it is cleaned and maintained by a crew ad even zambonis. This is a must do for any visitor.

This is our favorite place to take out of town guests for a quick trip to the mountains. The lake is absolutely stunning, in winter and summer. There is a nice trail around it, bathroom facilities, all kinds of boat rentals, ice skating, fishing, picnicking,...More

This lake is both a summer and winter gem located about 45 minutes west of Denver. Ice skating and fishing to paddleboarding are just some of the activities offered and the wildlife, perticularly the elk herds, is amazing. The golf course just above the lake,...More

Great walking path around the entire lake! Was muddy in many places but usually there was a way to avoid the mud, or at least get minimally muddy. The views are great all the way around the lake.

Evergreen lake is beautiful year round. During the winter you can ice skate on the frozen lake and observe men who are ice fishing.

The kids enjoyed skating and watching the adults ice fish. The lake is just beautiful and there is even sledding if that is something you want to do. Fun family entertainment.

From the lake to the wildlife and people, you wont find a better place to spend an hour or a day. Fun for all ages and pet friendly too.

This is a beautiful and well cared for park and lake. Rentals in the summer are available of boats, SUP, paddleboat though in busy weekend times, make a reservation (to avoid waiting for hours). There is a walking path around the lake. People often walk,...More

This is justified as one of the best places to ice skate in the world! Plus from what I have seen the ice fishing is good as well

We would like to take the walk-are dogs on leash allowed? and is the trail flat? My husband has a terrible time walking on uneven trails.

It was flat and dogs are permitted on-leash only. We did the trail with our elderly parents.

Hello looking for a good place to view the meteor shower next week. Are we able to park near the lake to star gaze as a family over night? Are there hours? Fees?

I'm sorry, we 're not from the area and it was a day trip. I'd call the recreation center directly to find out about that. There were no fees for day parking, but it was fairly congested.
