    Awesome Ride
Spent the afternoon doing a 2 hr ride. Such beautiful country and enjoyed it all. Definitely is a to do but the college kids said 1 1/2 hrs would be enough next time! Appreciate Lee coming out telling me that we had already paid and he was crediting it. I thought this was the case but wasn’t sure. Thanks for the honesty!

    Great ride!
We did an 1.5 hr ride and it was a great experience! We called the day before and were able to book for a Saturday 9:30 trip and actually had our own private ride. Our guide Anna was very nice, friendly and informative. The horses were well taken care of and knew what they were doing. The cabin on the property has a full bar and they had a nice outdoor area with chairs and picnic tables, and also a cute mini horse Penelope who was hanging out. I would recommend Bearcat for a ride, I am already planning on coming back!

    Incredible ride with Bearcat Stables
We thought this would be a fun activity for our family get-together. There were 11 of us and all had a great time. Our wranglers, Taylor and Diane were excellent at teaching us how to ride and keeping us safe. They were especially great with our younger and first-time riders, to make sure they had an amazing time and felt comfortable on the horses. The horses were all very well behaved and the ride was spectacular with incredible views. We did the 1 hour trail ride, which was perfect, since many of the group were first-time riders. We highly recommend this company.

Bearcat Stables Trail Ride an Excellent Experience for Grandchildren
We made a last minute decision to schedule a ride for four grandchildren. We were able to get a 3 p.m. ride time and as we were driving to the stables, it started raining. When we got to the stables, we were welcomed with positive encouragement that the skies would clear and the 3 p.m. ride could go. They watched radar and our ride was able to go. While we waited we watched a 6 point buck deer grazing along the trail and a there were a couple of goats on the ranch the kids found entertaining. The wrangler was excellent with the kids. The trails were muddy and the horses went through a stream of water but the ride was so fun for them. Our grandkids ranged from age 11 to 15 and all of them want to "do it again." Thanks Bearcat staff for making this a highlight of their week!

Great trail ride and beautiful location
Took the 1 hour ride with grandkids ages 7 and 9. There was excellent training and education before the ride. The staff were great with kids in encouraging them and giving them confidence. The ride was perfect with open space and beautiful scenery. The grounds and buildings are rustic and fun for exploring. Would definitely recommend!

    Excellent ride
The people are so nice and the horses were just perfect for us novices. the 1 1/2 hour ride was so nice, with beautiful scenery and views of a herd of at least 50 elk. Also saw red tail hawks, and coopers hawks. This was our 12 year old grandson's favorite adventure, even better and white water rafting!

    Absolutely amazing.
Let me start by saying WOW! I can only speak for myself and my wife, but this was one of the most magical experiences we had during our trip. We had the trail to ourselves. No one else. Nicole, who is the owner and operator is absolutely wonderful. Genuinely just one of the most professional and memorable experience. Even had a beer with the wife at the shack before we left! 11/10 can't wait to come back.

Great trails and well trained horses!
We are inexperienced riders but the staff gave good directions plus the horses were very well trained. Scenic trails going to a very high point. We took the 2 hour tour which was plenty. Thanks to Denise and Nicole.

The wrangler was lovely but the rest of the staff including the bartender was not the least bit friendly just wanting to get on with the job.
Short loop in icy conditions and I felt sorry for the horses they were tired.
The hired chef was very nice as was his food. He was the nicest person there. It was disorganized and expensive for a nothing ride.
I paid for two people and frankly they should not hype this up as they never return phone calls or web info.
I was actually told to hold while the woman on the phone said wait there is a gorgeous elk herd out here so she put me on hold only to say they did not serve dinner on Thursdays and no room.I think they make it up as they go along.

We went for the horse drawn sleigh ride and dinner. The ride was okay, but only lasted 30 minutes; ride for 5 min, stop for 10 min, ride for 5 min, stop for 10 min.
The dinner ambiance was nice, but the food was not good. My husband had ribs
and he said they had no flavor. I had the chicken and it was tasteless. The mac and
cheese tasted like it came from a box and mixed veggies were bitter. Salad was
great and the dessert was okay (but tiny). All in all it was a unique experience but
because of the food quality I felt like it was overpriced. All the drinks were an
upcharge and no drink was served with dinner except water--not even coffee or tea.

Not worth the price. The entire time We we’re there we felt rushed. The cost is high for the food they serve and the short sleigh ride. Watch out when they ask if you want hot chocolate or cider. They charge $3 and they make it sound like it’s complimentary until you get the bill. The man driving the sleigh kept pausing the horses for a “rest” and asking if we were ready to eat. Sleigh ride was very short. When we got back the salad was already on the table and when we went to get the food at the buffet we were served very little. Before I could go back for more (not sure if I was allowed) the lady took my plate! They did let my husband bring a cake in for my birthday so that was nice.

This is not our first dinner sleigh ride. It was the first disappointment.

Fantastic ride with excellent wranglers and great facilities. Taylor led a group of 8 and was informative and great with getting everyone up-to-speed and on our way. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to spend some time in the beautiful hills around Cordillera

Tours were running 45 minutes late though it was suggested to arrive 15-20 minutes early. No explanation provided and was not offered any other option. There is no contingency for someone needing to stop the tour. Grandson became ill 15 minutes into the tour and we were told we had to walk back to the stables. We walked back without a guide finding our own way back even though he did not feel well. The guide seemed "put off" by the fact that she had to stop the tour and made a comment about having to refund everyone's money back if we had to turn around and go back. Grandson felt bad enough already and apologized to the group. They did provide some cool drinks without charge to hydrate my grandson and provided an ice pack for his neck. They never offered a refund. Very insensitive people.

After seeing all the great reviews, we booked a twilight dinner sled ride. Every other dining experience were booked solid through March which was a concern since we booked the same day.
I rate the setting a 5. the wine list a 4, the sled ride is basically a 15-20 minute uneventful ride. The gentleman driving the sled spoke when spoken to. I rate it a 3.
The host/owner was also the server. She was personable.

The main negative is, when you arrive in the cabin, she invites you to the bar for a warm drink to take on the ride. We were a party of five adults all five believed they were complimentary. There was a warm drink list on the bar that had no priced listed, very misleading. On to the food, since this was a dining experience, i did not have high expectations and the food was what I expected, OK.

Receiving the bill was when we were surprised to see 5 drink charges from $10 - $14. They even charged $3 for a cup of coffee. At a pre fixed price of $110, I would at the very least expect a cup of coffee. All in all we dropped $1,000 including an $80 bottle of wine and tip. Given the choice to do it again, I'd recommend making a reservation at one of the top restaurants in the valley. This is a tourist trap.

Great experience! The staff and ownership were very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The horses were fantastic too, they had a little spunk which you don’t always find with trail ride horses. I would definitely go back to Bearcat.

Our family of 6, ranging In age from 9 to 79, agreed that THIS will be the memory we take away from our December ski trip. A real, honest-to-goodness sleigh (compared to other providers) pulled by two big Belgian draft horses took us on a a fun and fascinating tour of Bearcat ranch. It was frosty cold and we snuggled under blankets as the horses trotted through the snow. Our guide pointed out ranch highlights under a clear starry sky. We ended where we started, at the ranch dining room. Dinner was delicious, with lots of choices to keep kids and adults happy. A big crackling fire in the fireplace, full bar, homemade desserts, everything was perfect. Be sure to arrange transportation yourself and get there in time for a hot toddy by the outdoor fire.

Bearcat Stables Sleigh Ride is an experience, but it is NOT a sleigh ride through the mountains, as we expected. A roaring fire pit complete with goats provided much needed warmth before the ride. Once in sleigh, blankets were provided for riders comfort. Driver guide was so friendly and informative about draft horses and the farm.
Yet, if this is an “over the river and through the woods” sleigh ride you imagined, my advice would be to TAKE A PASS. The ride itself was about 20 minutes in length, and we stopped often to let the horses rest. Our 22 month old grandchild loved it. We adults enjoyed it.
However, it was NOT worth the $40.00 per person charge, which when totaled up for 4 adults and 3 drinks, one of which was hot chocolate, was just under $200.00. The cost was NOT equal to the experience!

I have gone on quite a few horseback rides and by far this was the best one! First, I really liked that it was a stable that had horses on site, not brought in on a trailer out in the middle of a field off the side of a road. They had very friendly, loving and playful dogs and cats. We rode all the way up to the top of one mountain and then we continued up the almost the top of another mountain. When we came back down, we went back a different way. You do have to do the 2 hour ride, but it is well worth it. The views throughout the entire ride were just breathtaking and doing it in the fall with all the different foliage was just the icing on the cake. Nicole, who was our guide, was very sweet and knowledgeable. We even saw a few elk! If you have a couple of hours, you will not be disappointed!
