We visit every year, sorry to see they have taken the old west period costumes away from the servers. This was 80% of what makes this an "old west" saloon. As far as the food go eat somewhere else. Very limited menu, a bit pricey and really not that great.

This is a nice spot for a drink or quick bite, but management of either the bar or Strater Hotel need to have some sort of security or oversight. The Atmosphere is just like the olden days. We had the Green Chili Stew & Chicken Pot Pie. Both were Ok, but not very much for the price. The better bet would be the French Dip which was a nice size for the price.

Nicely designed to look like an old timey Western saloon, the atmosphere is fun, but rated PG13. Piano player added to that atmosphere, but he only played three songs in the hour we were there. Sit by a window to people watch as you enjoy your meal. Our meals (meatloaf and herb-roasted chicken) were great. Service was a bit slow, but it was Saturday night T 7pm when we walked in—very busy. When you are finished, walk into the lobby of the Strater Hotel for more of that atmosphere! A great meal in a fun environment!…

We did not eat here but had a couple of drinks at the bar after dinner. We found out a local fellow playing the piano, what a treat. This guy is really good and keeps the music going. It was a nice place to just hang out and enjoy the evening and it appeared those around us eating were enjoying themselves as well. If you can, get a seat at the end of the bar (far left, when you first walk in) - it's the best seat in the house in my opinion.…
