What a fantastic adventure we had today at Soaring Colorado. It's an unforgettable experience. From the very comfortable private car on the Durango-Silverton Railroad to the experienced and friendly staff. Not to mention the food. The 27 zip lines are very well designed as is the harness you wear - more comfortable than you might imagine. We did this 7 years ago and returned again this year for our 45th wedding anniversary. The staff's first priority is your safety, but they make sure you have fun from beginning to end. Well worth the money for the lifetime of memories.

This was our 5th time back to soar the 27 zip lines. We have taken family and friends and they all agree this was an unforgettable experience. It is totally safe; they check harnesses frequently. It is so professional; every staff member is highly trained, efficient, friendly, and safety conscious. The lunch selections are exquisite!

Treat of a lifetime. We are both in our 70’s and had a blast. Yes there was some hiking so you need to be in pretty good shape for the hike but well worth it I would definitely recommend this for the adventurous sole. The staff was over the top great on every way. They were all wonderful and very deserving of the highest ratings. Train ride and meal was perfect.

I have been on zip lines all over the world and this was the most first class facility I have seen. It is really impressive the quality of equipment, platforms, lines and staff at this facility. The staff was amazing and really helped everyone, including some not so physically fit individuals. It was a great day with an amazing facility. I cant recommend it enough.

Our family has been to Soaring Tree Top Adventures 2 consecutive years in a row, and it will not be our last! Every staff member is friendly, attentive and even remembered us from last year’s visit. The train ride was breathtaking, the zip lines were adventurous, and food and snacks were delicious and filling. This was the perfect vacation for our family of 5, and also the perfect way to social distance during these uncertain times. We highly recommend Soaring Tree Top Adventures for your next family getaway!

What a great Adventure! It was spotting rainy all day but they had all the right gear and even a few tents for us to stand under when it was heavy. The guides were professional, personable and playful. The food was delicious and the train ride was scenic. Hands down well worth the money

This was my 6th Soaring trip. I have been to many Ziplines around the country , hands down this is the ABSOLUTE BEST. The staff were excellent food gourmet, and the Zip lines-themselves were so so much fun. I have been here 6 times with 6 Different groups of family and friends. Every time has been just the best experience. This is a top notch experience from the train ride to the food to the safety of the participants. The staff was fun engaging and knowledgeable. An absolute must when very visiting Durango. Worth every penny. Cannot wait to go on my 7th trip,

It's a little pricey but it is worth every dollar! The price is all inclusive. The private train car, midmorning snack, lunch, and tip. A true 5 star experience!! You take a private train car to your destination. You can board either in Durango or in Rockwood (just past the Purgatory ski facility). I have been on several zip line excursions and this is the best. Easy stopping! Zipping over the river, racing with your spouse and the place has such an interesting history. Just do it, you'll love it!

Train ride in a private VIP car. Jessie and Chase were our guides to the Soaring Tree Top Community. All the staff Nick, Kevin and Sarina. (Please let me know her name so I can correct it.) we're amazing and very attentive. They were so positive in everything they said and jobs they performed. I hate heights. Therefore, it was a great idea my wife booked the trip. I was told to trust the process. Everything was explained in detail. The equipment is the highest of quality. We got snacks before lunch. Lunch was amazing! Several options available. Chef walked by every table assuring we were satisfied. I couldn't of been more blown away by the safety taken to make me feel comfortable. I couldn't let my 7 year old daughter see I was a scaredy-cat! The views from the tree tops were breath taking. Please understand you get what you pay for. It was money well spent. The smiles and memories were worth it.

This adventure was amazing... We were there to celebrate my 73rd birthday. The train ride was exceptional. However the staff was above amazing. They quickly learned our names so they could call us by name. Their care, concern, and safety measures were above reproach. And half way through we were served an excellent lunch... we were able to order, a head of time, from a flexible lunch menu.
This was the absolute fun way to celebrate life, soaring through the Ponderosa Pines and across the Animas River ! I would do it again and again.

I called and they stated that it’s $600 a person. Too expensive for a family of five.

I suggest you contact them direct. I’ve done many zip lines throughout the country and this is the very best and absolutely safe.

It’s not cheap and they run various specials throughout the year. I booked our trip last December because I read they offer a buy one, get one free if you book by the end of the December for the following year. Still cost me over $500, but...that includes your lunches and first class tickets on the train, which I understand are pretty expensive on their own. It was a stretch for us but I’m glad we did it, it was a trip highlight and we would do it again!

If your catching the train in Durango what is the best hotel to stay in for a family of 6. Kids ages 18,18, 13, & 14. Are a cabin rental?
Written June 7, 2017
We stayed at the Wyndham Durango. It is a 5-minute walk to the train station. (I'm not kidding. And I walk slowly.) As a couple, it was perfect. I'm not sure if they have accommodations for 6 people, but you could ask them. The staff there are awesome.
The town of Durango has lots of interesting shops and restaurants. And there are lots of places to visit that are within easy driving distance.
