My children ages 3, 5, and 8 loved this place. They spent a lot of time building paper rockets and launching them in the pressure tubes. It was a really cool hands on exhibit. If you are a member of another children's or science museum you may be eligible for a discount, but it is definitely worth it at full... More

We visited the Powerhouse Center while on vacation in Durango. My son is 8 years old and really enjoyed it. It would be great for younger children, too. Unlike many children's museums, this place is great for older children. Even the adult teachers in our group were very interested in it.

We enjoyed our visit to the powerhouse even though we did not have kids with us. The history of the building is well displayed. it was unfortunate that there were many exhibits/activities that were non-functional (dead batteries, blown lightbulbs, computer program non-responsive, etc)

PERFECT if your children need to play and run off some energy! Plus it is all educational! Look for stuff for adults too!

For a town that has little to offer families on days when everyone needs to be inside- this place is it!

Had some time to kill so, why not right? We were very impressed. We have a 5 and 3 year old and they were able to perform every task and learned a lot inthe process. If you are neer Durango with children give this place a chance.

Great little museum to kill a couple of hours with the kids. Very cool to see the history of the building and all the old original parts.

Went here with the family on a trip to Durango and we loved it. Great place to pass hours of fun learning about electricity. Fantastic displays that you can interact with.

We've been to Durango dozens of times but never made it here. This time we stopped and were absolutely entertained and educated by our almost three hours we spent there. Your tickets are good for the whole day so you can come and go as you please. Everything was interesting and educational but our two favorite exhibits were the active... More
