Most ski resorts don't have much to offer in the off ski season with the exception of maybe a chair lift ride and some hiking trailers to explore. Well Purgatory is different. In addition to the chair lift, the resort also offers its visitors about eight different trails to hike and/or mountain bike, ranging in difficulty doom easy to difficult... More

It's expensive to do any of the family activities, but it's a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. We spent time doing the alpine slide, but didn't wait to pay for anything else since the prices were way too high!

Whether you are staying on site or just visiting for the day, Purgatory Resort is the place to be in the summer! Options are available to mountain bike, ride the ski lift, sled down the mountain, hike, zipline, and lots of other activities. This is a family favorite year after year.

Late season visit. One inch of snow. Weather was warm. We traversed to the back side. Not a good idea, if you are on a snowboard.

The best thing about our visit was that Purgatory was not crowded. The workers were disengaged and as a result, my son almost fell off of the chair lift. We had fun, but the price seemed high per attraction. My son spent less than a minute on one attraction and it cost about $15. It would have been better if... More

If you want a nice place to ski without the crowds this is the place. Not as big and fancy as the other places in Colorado but great snow and good skiing without having to wait in lines plus a lot cheaper.

I wish I had known about this place when my kids were young, as there is so much for them to do. If you enjoy mountain biking, this mountain may have the best trails in CO. If you want to try that for the first time, they'll rent you a bike and give you lessons.

The resort is very nice, has great skiing and we had a great time. We stayed in a ski in ski out room which made it an excellent vacation. The snow was outstanding and you can go all over the mountain and find all levels of terrain. The resort restaurants are pretty good and reasonable priced for being at a... More
