Main St -- a nice mix of shops, restaurants --- good for strolling. Many stores are pet-friendly - just ask before you bring the dog in.

This is a fun little town. Some good restaurants, coffee shops and quite a few good little independant shops with some interesting items, not really what you see every day, oh there's some of that but much less than many other tourist towns. No chain stores in the downtown area makes it very much nicer. Good art galleries and Indian... More

There is a lot to see and do in downtown Durango. The train and museum are very enjoyable and from there you can walk to the Historic Strater Hotel and many shops and restaurants.

Thank you Leah for visiting our town and taking the time to share your experience. Thanks for mentioning the two blocks either side of Main Ave as being worth the extra steps to see more of the Historic District. The Animas River Trail is a great way to stroll through Durango as well. More
