I took my family of 6 to Mesa Verde(Me, wife, 4 kids, 12,9,7,4). We used Mesa Verde tours and had Aaron as our guide. He was outstanding. He had as great a knowledge about the the cliff, dwellings, the pueblo people, and the area as I can imagine anyone having. We had several questions and he could answer literally all... More

Our family went with Mesa Verde tours to see the cliff dwellings. This turned out to be a good choice. Our guide Denise had deep knowledge of both the history, archeology and nature of this area. We also appreciated to learn about the most recent research in the field. We enjoyed to hear about theories and stories which made this... More

We had a group of 8 travelers aged 9 up to 60 years and everyone had a great time. The guide picked us up at our hotel in Durango led us on a tour of the Mesa Verde ruins. Our guide was an engaging and professional archaeologist, far from just being a driver or superficial guide. We absolutely would do... More

My family of five (my wife and 3 kids ages 12, 9, 5) went on a Mesa Verde Tour Tuesday August 3rd 2010. Aaron led our tour and he was fantastic! What we didn't realize is that Mesa Verde is made up of over 600 archaeological sites. Only two locations (Balcony House and Cliff Palace) in the National Park offer... More

I have learned that paying just a few dollars more can elevate an experience from nice to exceptional. This tour of Mesa Verde with Shane was no exception. For about $25 pp more than what it cost to go with a large group in a bus, my wife and I enjoyed a full day of seeing and learning about many... More

Taking the tour allowed us to see the highlights of Mesa Verde in one day. Our guide, Shane, was very knowledgeable and helpful which made the trip great! When reserving the trip, we were told to wear or bring walking shoes, hat, rain gear, etc. which we might not have thought about. A good lunch was also provided. We were... More

We toured Mesa Verde during July 2010. Aaron (sp?) who was our guide is clearly well versed on the archaeology of the historical peoples who occupied the area for hundreds of years and then found it "time to leave". He picked our family up at our hotel several minutes early which I like very much. The tour group consisted of... More

Bruce was wonderful! We had three generations, three families and a day full of interactive discussion. No question was too simple or too complex to promote a dialogue led by Bruce that provided both a historical prespective and encouraged us to question our assumptions about the way of life at Mesa Verde. At the end of the day we had... More

If you want to tour Mesa Verde National Park for one day, I would advise you to take the tour offered by Mesa Verde Tours, Durango, Co. Bruce Burnett was our guide and he is the best. We took this tour in mid-June, 2010. We were not staying in Durango, so the tour van picked us up in the parking... More

I’d been to Mesa Verde before, on my own, reading the signs and guides and left with a fascination and thirst for more knowledge of this place and these people. Yet life goes on and I never pursued that interest. Last week I returned, this time with an exceptional guide, who told us not only about the people and their... More
