I have camped and fished here for years and I always appreciated the beauty of the area. This is a stocked lake, most fish being 10" in size, I have caught a 22" trout here and have seen eagles taking fish off of the surface...More

We hiked on trails close to the lake, and then walked around the lake a little. It was a rainy day, but we had our rain gear so it was fine. It was quiet and amazingly lush with the rain. Recommend hikes in this area.

We spent two different days at Lake Haviland, one for fishing and having a picnic lunch and one for hiking around. It's a pretty lake and a popular one for paddle boarding and fishing or just to lay back on a blanket to relax.

Just a short jaunt off the main highway (550) this is a pretty little state park with a very scenic lake that reflects the mountains looming above it.

Great camping overlooking the lake. Hard to get reservations for the electrical sites, but fun place for hiking and fishing.

It's a beautiful lake near the main highway, between Durango and Silverton. We've camped there in years past and picnicked in more recent times.
