- SharonDee11Richardson, Texas7 contributionsGreat ride! The water taxi is a great way to be on the water. The views are wonderful. And the guide was very knowledgeable about the lake, the area and all of the mountain names. We thoroughly enjoyed our round trip ride from Dillon to Frisco and back. Spent some time in Frisco and had lunch. Easy walk from the marina to the downtown historical area.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 25, 2023
- Blake B2 contributionsHighly Recommend Summit Shuttle!Frank and the Summit Shuttle took our wedding party around the lake for a grand tour of Lake Dillon and the surrounding towns. Frank was an excellent host and was very professional and friendly. - kris081Riverwoods, Illinois17 contributionsBest Summit County Ride EverIt's not summer in the Summit without a ride on the Shuttle. We've been coming up for many years and each year we learn something new on our trips between Dillon and Frisco. Captain Frank is a genial host and safety conscious captain. Listen, talk or sleep on the comfortable "ship". The scenery is of course absolutely outstanding. Nothing like seeing the mountains from the water. Highly highly recommend it for first timers as well as locals!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 5, 2024
- Jc BFrisco, Colorado43 contributionsAn experience NOT to miss!Seth was our captain and he was a happy, helpful and knowledge leader! The trip over was a bit chilly but Seth handed all who wanted cozy blankets. What a beautiful ride. Where else can one cruise at 9,000 feet on a high alpine lake/reservoir! A truly unique experience. Don’t miss this one!Visited July 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 5, 2024
- Ben B1 contributionFun trip with super kind captainIt rained on our boat ride and the captain immediately gave us huge umbrellas to block the rain! He was super kind and despite the weather it was a fun ride. We are a family of four with two kids (11 and 7). We did lunch in Frisco, rented bikes and rode around the lake to Dillon, then rode the water taxi with our bikes back. Really fun little trip!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 8, 2024
- Erica RDenver, Colorado1 contributionGreat service! We road bikes from frisco to dillon with my 8 yo daughter and decided this would be a fun way to get home as we could take our bikes on board. The wind was kicking up but our captain did a great job, gave us cozy blankets and we even saw an eagle! Will definitely plan to use this again!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 9, 2024
- Steve SDenver, Colorado102 contributionsBest way to travel from Frisco to Dillon! After riding our bikes from Frisco to Keystone, this was the perfect way to end the day from Dillon to Frisco! The boat accomodated our bikes and the ride is beautiful. Frank tells some of the history of the area, and it was awesome!Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 19, 2024
- Jo Ann D1 contributionA wonderful way to spend a beautiful morningCaptain Frank kept us entertained with information about the history of the area and the way the dam works. The ride was comfortable and relaxing. We rarely get out on the water, so this was an affordable way to enjoy a beautiful day.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 20, 2024

Frank, our commander is an excellent operator and shares great information about the area. I always enjoy his narrative. This is my third time to ride Summit Shuttle. My wife and I booked a ride when my parents came into town and had such a great experience that we booked another ride a few months later when her parents came! We had two different drivers and both were fantastic! We rode the Shuttle in June and again in September and both times got on in Dillon and rode to Frisco and then back to Dillon. I would highly recommend this route as there are a ton of shops, restaurants and things to do on the Frisco side. You will want to spend the majority of your time there. We also were unsure at first how long to stay on the Frisco side, but ended up spending hours over there soaking in the views, exploring the beach and the city. If you want to leave to go back earlier it's as easy as a text to the captain. They are extremely communicative. The views are incredible and the prices are extremely reasonable. Great for all ages! We will absolutely be back in the future!

Really great boat captain, gave some informative details about the reservoir and the surrounding terrain. Nice 35 minute shot across the lake - would recommend this for anyone wanting to just explore the two sides of the reservoir quickly. Also had once couple on board that were doing a one way with their bikes.

It was stranded in the rain in Frisco because of no contingency plan do to weather. Between a dead cell phone and closed bus shuttle stops and failed uber attempts I had to walk in the rain for 1 hour in order to find the open Frisco bus shuttle to return to Dillon. The cruise from Dillon to Frisco was lovely. After that I really wished I had driven and look forward to the refund of the trip that I did not get to take.

The weather can change at a moment's notice but having to deal with COVID-19 restrictions, it makes planning very difficult as many services were not available.

Our family bike ride around the lake took longer than expected. Frank was super kind to wait a few minutes for us to arrive and load our bikes onto the shuttle. The trip across the lake from Frisco to Dillon was beautifully scenic. Highly recommended!

I'm glad you had a nice bike ride and understand there might be a delay due to that lack of oxygen. It happens and we will wait:)

Every summer we come to Summit County, we look (usually in vain) for boat rides for us & our dog. Summit Shuttle always ends up being the easiest option, and we never regret it. Today's ride was so relaxing that ot felt like a nap: Thanks!

You must have been on the 3pm napper from Frisco to Dillon. It's the best to watch heads bobbing as we cruise across the lake at this time;)

This was our kids’ first boat ride (ages 6 and 8) and they loved it. The oldest had so much fun taking pictures and videos of the beautiful scenery, and we learned a little about the history of the area and the Dillon Reservoir. The next day we stopped by Sapphire Point overlooking the reservoir and the kids loved the two perspectives. It was a pleasant and relaxing ride across, even with it being super windy. We definitely needed our jackets out on the water, but it was still nice. Definitely wear sunscreen and bring sunscreen to reapply!

We had a great time on the 2 hour boat shuttle we rented for my bachelorette party. The boat was a very smooth ride, our driver was friendly and informative, and the company was very accommodating when there was an issue with the booking and quickly remedied it. It was a beautiful day on the reservoir and the views were gorgeous.

We took the private water taxi from Frisco Marina to the Dillon Amphitheatre for a concert. Absolutely amazing way to get there and back. The views are fantastic, the boat captain is awesome, and had lots of local info to share. Boat drop is at Dillon Marina, then a short walk to the Dillon Amphitheatre, watch a great concert, and text the boat captain for the return trip. Excellent experience!!

Our captain was so informative and gave us a fantastic overview of the rivers, towns, mountain peaks and the reservoir. The boat was comfortable and had covered seating that came in handy when a quick rainstorm popped up on our ride. We had bikes with us and it was very smooth getting them on and off. Will do again- great way to get on the water without having to rent a boat.

Captain Frank is full of trivia and history of the reservoir, great guy who loves his work… who wouldn’t. Seeing the area from the water is a most do, much different from the bike paths and roads. We will be back for sure, a great outing for guests that are visiting or locals who have never been on the water. The scenery is breathtaking. We traveled from Dillon to Frisco, spent a few hours supporting the local economy and headed back. Frisco is a nice little walkable town, shops and restaurants are plentiful, recommend visiting. I think the season ended today so put this on your list for next year.

hi, how long does it take to travel from one marina to the other?
Written August 23, 2021
About 35-40 minutes, as I recall. There was also a short break while the guide gave a short history of the reservoir.
Written August 25, 2021
The best place to board the shuttle is on the Dillon side. We have had wheelchairs on the boat but we picked it up to get over the gap between the dock and the boat. The Dillon Marina also has a swing chair if needed. This is a hoist that attaches to the dock and can lift a person up in a seat and over into the boat.
