Seeing a movie in the large movie theaters is great for what it offers. Seeing a movie at the Landmark's Mayan Theatre is an experience. I love the way they serve you at the concession stand, preserved the theater, and the people that attend to see a movie. It's a 10+

The Mayan always has an interesting and unique selection of movies. I live a few blocks away and I'm always drawn to the movies they offer and there is a unique ambience inside, but I found the seats to be extremely uncomfortable and cramped. It might be fine for some people, but I have back problems and was unable to... More

We loved, loved, loved this theater! The seats were comfortable and it is in a great location with snacks and adult beverages.

Mark Cuban really did well by leaving the atmosphere alone here, historical landmark. Intimate movie going theater, great concessions and a bar! The employees are great... foreign films are shown here as well as artsy ones! Great date night adventure! Parking is in back of Walgreens next door!

The place is decorated in such an awesome retro way. I haven't been to a theatre like this since high school. They show a lot of independant and limited release films. Which is what brought us here. It's fun to get away from the megaplexes and have a more intimate setting. They have really good popcorn too. The price is... More

I love to go to the Mayan Theater. It is really and beautiful theater with its Mayan design. The movies they show are more independents and foreign so you won;t see the lastest shoot-em up CGI movie here. The have an excellent snak bar and also service beer and wine. The negatives are the seats are old and somewhat uncormfortable... More

Just a step back in time, with fun indie shows and a family/familiar atmosphere of the golden age of cinema. Beautiful inside although lots of wear and tear over the decades shows. Look past it, settle in, and imagine what a marvel it was at the dawn of cinema to be in such a grand place to see a show!

Two Words: Taxi Driver. Nuff said. The Mayan is a jewel. A treasure in Denver, providing a civilized experience to people weary of another shopping mall multiplex nightmare. The art deco decor serves as a reminder of a time when people build things to last. Intended to endure, the Mayan delivers time and time again. I love this place.

Love this old historic theater. Great indie films there. Seating is comfy and staff is friendly. They have great chocolate and complimentary water. What more can you ask for?
