We visited this site from out of town and we were pleasantly surprised. The telescops was amazing and they have a small class explaining different things. We will go back next time we are in town!

Off the beaten path, the Observatory Park neighborhood is a fabulous place to walk. The park itself is nice. A star viewing adventure in the historic observatory is a special treat! Close to the University of Denver.

It is worth your time to make reservations for one of their open nights at the observatory. Bring warm clothes for most nights as it is not heated where the telescope sits. Very interesting history behind the building and the telescope.

This is a very popular park with the neighborhood families. Not only did the city put in a new playground recently, but the park itself is HUGE! Plenty of room to play rugby, soccer, lacrosse, football, basketball -- You name it. The college kids from...More
