Capitol to the right, city court to the left. Museum behind you, Denver mint and Library within a block. Catch the Free bus down 16 street mall. Homeless as in most cities are are present, but not a problem with visitors. Very safe during daylight hours.

This park between the state capitol and the Denver city building is gorgeous, and weekdays it looks like there is a daily food truck line up for lunch. unfortunately because it a public space, it is also ground zero for the homeless population of denver. We saw countless homeless people and witnessed a few altercations between them. anyone travelling to... More

There was a fair of some type the day we were at the park, with food trucks and vendors and informational tents. Most everyone we encountered was helpful and pleasant and the entire vicinity and park grounds was beautiful. Great place to walk and enjoy the pleasant surroundings and beautiful buildings.

This is a park area. That you would walk thru to get to either the court house the Children's art museum or to the state capital.

The area is huge and very nice. When we visited, there were more homeless than anyone else in the park. No one bothered us at all. While we were there an outdoor concert and/or movie was being set up, and the food trucks were lining up. Hopefully many more people take advantage of this beautiful park.

The park is beautiful, but it is unfortunate that the homeless have taken over the park. While they did not ask us for money or food, they did make comments to the group of Boy Scouts that were with us, which made us cautious of our actions. We did enjoy the Food Truck Festival on the day we were there,... More

A shady, grassy area in the middle of the city looks like an oasis. Unfortunately, drug dealers and homeless see it the same way and have a tendency to take it over, making it a bit dicey for families. But, if you chance it, there is a beautiful Greek style amphitheater, an art museum , a sparkling fountain (when it's... More

The free bus it stops here. It is the end of the line before it turns and heads the other way. There are vagrants here, but Museums , Mint, Art Museum, History Museum and the Capitol and so much of everything I wanted to see is right here. It was a breath taking view of history. The Denver Post is... More

This is a beautifully designed park with architecturally wonderful buildings, statuary and green areas. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be properly maintained. Area feels dirty, unkempt, and a hangout for the homeless and drug traffic. Not an area I would visit with young children, or visit after dark. Walking the area felt unsafe/uncomfortable (for one who does not like... More
