the park and Capital building and the holiday lights on the civic center are worth the trip by its self but the parks and old and new buildings are awesome. I recommend walking it not far and you miss so uch on a bus or driving have fun.

The strangers you see all around staring at you are drug dealers. Don't speak to them. The best time to go to this park is for the several weeks in the summer when they have food trucks. Otherwise, you're outnumbered by the drug dealer types. Otherwise, there are other events which are held here throughout the year. I would go... More

This isn't a place you'd want to be after dark. Has the potential to be a good location for outdoor concerts or other events, however it seems to be the place for all things sketchy in Denver. It' a shame because it's located between the Capitol buildings and down the street from the US Mint and really close to downtown.

It was o.k., but the biggest problem was there was limited seating. And there really was not much to see. To me it was just a nice break crossing the road.

Thursday Afternoons the Park offers a variety of ethnic foods sold by different truck vendors. Lots of local participation. Can not recommend after nightfall. Lots of Homeless and apparant druggies.

A gorgeous park architecturally. Denver holds year round special events and festivals here. Typically those are great. However, otherwise, we avoid the park and do not feel at liberty to enjoy our own city's park due to the heavy population of drugged/drunk folks in constant residence/transience here -- Not a safe place to meander alone or enjoy the scenery.

I have been here a couple of times. It is a nice green oasis in downtown Denver. It is situated between the State Capitol and The Denver City County building. Some statuary and monuments. Great place for a downtown picnic if you are sightseeing there.

This park is beautiful, but unfortunately it has become a gathering place for Denver's homeless population. It isn't a safe or pleasant place to hang out.

From this location you can see the mountains and the downtown denver skyline. The zoo and natural museum are within the grounds but their is also a large park area with a pond and many trails, which are good for a stroll

We took the free 16th Street Mall bus from downtown to the bus depot just a short walk to this park. The day we visited, the Denver Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon was going on, so there was music and fun too. We were able to stroll around a bit and people watch while getting to see the Denver State...
