I went to see the La Cocina exhibit for a college class field trip. i wasn't sure want to expect but when i arrived I was presently surprised. We had a lovely young tour girl who guided us through the La Cocina exhibit. She was very informative and helped us set a mood and background for all the featured pieces... More

I went to check out this exhibit today, and it was well done. They have lots of hand written letters that really tell the stories of those who suffered. There are 3 exhibits every year, new each time. It definitely tells the story from the activist point of view.

The Museo de las Americas is a little museum on Santa Fe Drive. It is mainly temporary displays, so how much you like it any time you visit will depend largely on what's there now. I did enjoy the small gift shop as well as the displays when we visited. Once you have visited this little gem, then take some... More

I enjoyed the exhibit of Jerry De La Cruz's work…and as usual, it was well laid out, presenting an insight into the development of the artist's considerable skills.

The Jerry de la Cruz is well worth trip and then some. The cost is very reasonable and the current exhibit is inspiring. Had a wonderful time looking at the exhibit.

The Jerry de la Cruz exhibit currently showing at the Museo de las Americas is exceptionally good. The breadth and quality of his work is remarkable, and it is well worth a visit. I would certainly recommend this show, but the size of the museum should prompt a check on what is being presented before you plan to come by.... More

Super-situated amidst many blocks of galleries, this small museum doesn't come near the ambition of its name but is a worthwhile visit IF the space is as well-filled and interesting as it is currently. Probably only about 1200-1500 s.f., I'd guess, there is a small reception area with a knowledgeable and friendly staffer, a guest book, and then, boom, you... More

Super successful museum with great Mesoamerican objects. Their pieces are beautiful, they collect unique art from Latin America, full of color and tradition, they take care of communities, educate them and help them grow. Their expositions are beautiful, I love this museum for being small, with personalized attention, and constant invitation to attend and increase wisdom with the beauty that... More

I am glad someone warned me about how small this is. I would go again, but first I would check carefully to see if the exhibit really interested me. I had hoped that there would be more to see from the permanent collection.

I have been to Denver twice now and really love the city. I could live there. One reason is the Museo De Las Americas and the surrounding Santa Fe Arts District that it is a part of. I came for a meeting a year ago and found this tiny area on the downtown map. I was intrigued, needed a walk,... More
