We came to see Caravan Palace and it was a pretty good show. However, we ended up dealing with our share of aggressively pushy drunk people (an early 20s woman literally tried to start a fist fight with my 35 year old partner and then tried to get me to break up with him all while we were standing up the upper balcony)... not a direct fault of the venue, drunk people happen, but before the headliner? Drat.

As has become normal, the show started later than scheduled, the drinks were pricey, the bathrooms pretty packed most of the time.

To be honest, I'm not complaining. This is what I expect to sign up for when I go to a show on Colfax. But when I checked my photos, I couldn't remember anything standout about the Ogden Theater.... which makes it pretty average as an experience.

However, if you're interested in history or architecture, this place has some neat backstory :)

This is a great place to see a show. Only holds about 1500 people. Arrive as early as possible to snag a good spot. I highly recommend the balcony area, especially if you are short in stature. there a bar stools to sit while you wait for the show to begin and each section is on a riser, so you are above the people in front of you.

A good place to see a concert IF you plan ahead. I got there 30 minutes before the door opened, and scored a great spot one and a hard-to-get bar stool. If you arrive later you end up standing in a herd of people on one of the tiered main floors. For many, this may be find, and it seemed to be a friendly party atmosphere. I had a great seat and a great time, but YMMV.

Flew to Denver to see Lukas Nelson at the Ogden Theater, my first time there. Had an issue with my ticket, couldnt download the app to access my ticket. Stopped in during the day to see if I was going to be able to enter, and the staff was friendly and reassured me. All staff from the line controllers, to the bartenders and security, were all the nicest. Hope to return to Denver again, had a great time there.

Be aware, there are spotters working for the towing company (specifically Lone Star Towing - also goes under the name Wyatt Towing) that are waiting for the patrons of the Ogden to leave their cars in ambiguously legal parking spots. I've been to 3shows here and every time I come out some poor soul realizes that there car has been towed and the release price is upwards of $300. The Ogden itself is a fine venue, but the parking is such a joke and scam for people who just want to go out and have a good time.

We went to a concert here and were completely surprised to find there are NO seats in the theater. We had tickets and arrived an hour early. When you add the wait time to get into the theater and then the concert itself we stood for just over 3 hours. That is a long time when you aren't expecting to stand! We were hoping to enjoy the concert and be able to SEE it. But unfortunately, that was not the case. We were not aware that this theater is not for the vertically challenged in the least or for anyone that is unable to stand for extended periods of time. The concert was great! But the venue left much to be desired. It would've been nice to know that there are no seats before we bought our tickets. (Well there were a FEW bar stools but those were taken immediately and everyone else is left standing). Even though the balcony area is tiered it wasn't enough that you can fully see everything unless you already have a height advantage to start with. For us, this venue definitely wasn't worth the price of a ticket and was a very disappointing night out.

Just went to get some tickets for The Presets, one of my favorite bands for my girlfriend and myself. The tickets are about $25 w the convenience fee being $9.50. Why not just call it the Greed Fee? Certainly more accurate and truthful. Ogden, suck it!

My second favorite music venue behind Red Rocks in Denver and that's not just because I live within walking distance of the place. Don't try and park in this area because it's pretty hard, take a cab or walk if that's an option. The venue itself is pretty small (as in holds only 1500 people) but every spot you get, you can see the stage.

The staff is always very polite and they try to get everyone in here as fast as possible (especially if it's cold outside). The two bars both take credit cards so you don't need to take out cash beforehand.

Don't bring mace or chapstick because the Ogden employees will take it from you when you walk into the venue. The bathrooms are clean and it's a cool venue to check out!

We have seen 4 shows in the last 10 years. All the same, They oversell the shows, way too many people. No place to sit. Very inefficient design of the theater. Will never ever go back.

The reviews we read were spot on. Overcrowded, hot, and no sort of crowd control. We were in Denver to catch the M.O.E. show. I love smaller venues for the intimacy, easy ability to move around, and friendly service. The Odgen had this, but fell short in many other areas.

Oversold - we literally couldn't move in the place. Stairways, handicap ramp, upstairs, downstairs, was packed. I was very surprised to see that they didn't keep the isles clear. No sign of security or anyone enforcing this.

The place was so hot inside that you had to go towards the outside to get cool. Smokers were allowed to gather and smoke right in front of the building. Heck why bother, smoke cigarettes inside with everyone else.

I will never go see a show at this venue again, no matter the band I been dying to see.
