What a joke I live in Colorado. We bought tickets online rapid passes and parking. Well that cost $180.00 just for that. However it didn’t get us into park!!!!! Had to buy another $180.00 Dollars just to get into the park just for kiddy land. My wife and I didn’t even ride any rides at all . Then another $120.00 in food drinks etc. so for three hours we spent about $500.00 for kiddy land what a joke rip-off ELITCH GARDENS SIX FLAGS ARE!!!! THEY said they won’t refund the RAPID PASS WE NEVER USED!!!! NEVER NEEDED TO USE THEM WAS NOT BUSY ENOUGH FOR KIDDY LAND!!! DON’T RECOMMEND GOING THERE SO EXPENSIVE NOT WORTH THE TIME!!! It’s NOT LIKE IT USE TO BE WHEN THEY WERE ON 38TH AVE… WHAT A JOKE MANAGEMENT IS THERE!!!!!

Don't believe all the negative reviews
Aug 2021
Prior to spending the day at Elitch's, I read a number of reviews and was concerned at how many negative reviews there were. The primary complaints were lots of unaccompanied kids running wild, closed rides, uncaring staff, dirty park and high prices, so let me give an objective opinion of each.

1) There may have been an issue with unaccompanied kids running wild, but I believe that park management sufficiently put an end to this. All the lazy parents will have to find another babysitting service,

2) Closed rides. We visited on Sunday 28 August 2021 and many of the staff remarked that it was a slow day, Even with the low attendance, 90% of the rides were running. I suspect that most of the closures were staffing related.

3) Uncaring staff. Flat out NOT TRUE. From kiddie land to the large roller coaster rides, the staff that I observed demonstrated safety and reasonable conduct as primary concerns. Security was plentiful and obvious and bad behavior was not tolerated.

4) Dirty park. Considering the numbers of different demographics passing through the park, I thought that the parks, bathrooms and food areas were reasonably clean. There were not disinfecting armies wiping down each ride, but in general, the park was clean.

5) Cost. The days of the 10 cent ride are past. While our government may want you to believe that there's lots of Free Stuff to be had and minimum wage can be $50/hour, this is one of the places where you get to pay for a piece of that "Free Stuff" bill. It costs money to run a park like this. You can get some breaks if you buy on-line, but a season pass for $59 that covers the balance of 2021 and all of 2022 isn't bad for locals and a $44 day pass for out of towners isn't bad either. That said, if you eat there, expect to pay a lot of money. $13 for an 8" pizza, $13 for a 24 oz beer and $6 for a soft drink (with $1 refills).

All things considered, the visit to the park was time well spent.

Clean, Well Laid Out, Great Rides!
Jun 2021
I visited Elitch Gardens on business, but was happy to see what a fun place it was! The rides + games are well maintained and laid out, lots of different thrill levels. My favorite part was all the shaded spots to sit down and snack stands. Good variety of food. The gift shop had a lot of cool gifts/memorabilia.

Fun thing to do with the grands!
Jul 2021
We bought season tickets for ourselves and our grandkids. We only had a chance to take them three times, so I'm not sure if it was worth it. The first time we went to the water park in the late afternoon, not knowing that they closed at 6, so we didn't get to stay as long as we wanted. We went ahead and did some rides in kiddieland in wet clothes. The second time we did most of the rides in kiddieland and a few in the main park. We packed a lunch the last time and split the time between the kiddie rides and the adult rides as the kids were over their fear of the bigger rides. We really had a great time the last time and were lucky to find a nice shady spot in the parking lot to have a picnic lunch.

Serving alcohol to drunks who can barely stand and not enforcing park rules
Aug 2021
We visited on Friday, August 13, and found the park to be clean and the staff friendly. But we were very disappointed to pay $25 more to ride the Sling Shot for a single ride. In addition, there were a couple guys who were so drunk they could barely stand but continued to get served and continued to be allowed on the thrill rides. A dangerous situation and it would really suck to be vomited on by a drunk on a roller coaster. They both looked like it could happen at any time. There was also a guy screaming f-bombs as loud as he could the entire time he was on a ride, in front of the staff, and no one did anything about it. Disappointing that Elitch is allowing this behavior and ruining the park for families.

First trip to Elich Gardens and Denver
Jul 2021
We took a family vacation to Colorado Springs and Denver in July 2021. We went to Elitch Gardens on a Thursday. Wasn't very busy at all. However, we were surprised the tickets cost as much as a bigger park would. This park is also much smaller than a Six Flags would be. If you have been to a bigger park like a Six Flags, Cedar Point, or a Worlds of Fun. You might be disappointed.

I think it depends if you have discounted tickets or not....
Aug 2021 • Family
Our families honest experience at Elitch Gardens on August 7th.

We came to participate in the Epilepsy Awareness Day. The tickets were greatly discounted. Had we paid full price I would be super disappointed. The organization of the Chelsea Hutchinson Foundation was amazing. We arrived early for the Duck Race and we were able to get a great parking spot. $20.00 to park. 25.00 if you use a card, and 10.00 additional if you want premium parking. Take my advice the premium doesn't really justify the extra 10.00. We parked in regular parking and it was just fine. My family entered the park at the start of the day without me as I had a zoom meeting and stayed in the car until it was over. Once I was done with the meeting I spent about 22 minutes in a line to get in. (Already had my ticket)

Once in the crowd thinned out. Bathrooms in the main building were not very clean and smelled like dirty diapers.

First that of the day lines for big rides weren't super long but that quickly changed. My 9nyr old got freaked out on one of the bigger rides so we took her to kiddie land, waited in line and she was turned away as she is taller than 54 inches. I totally get that rule is to keep the trouble making teens out of there but to send a tall 9 yr old away while adults ride with their kids under 54 inches is a bit ridiculous. Whatever it is what it is.

Watched a few people throw up on the spider. Staff cleaned it with saw dust looking stuff and a broom and dumped in trash. No spray or anything. Absolutely disgusting.

Farris wheel kept shutting down due to being unbalanced.

Lines for food took about 20 mins. While prices are high food was shockingly fresh. Saw no one ever sanitize any tables or rides, good thing we brought our own clorox wipes and plenty of hand sanitizer!

Several rides, shops, and food vendors closed due to staffing issues. Not any different than any other business right now though, everyone seems to be short staffed.

Forget going to the Waterpark unless you go first thing in the morning. Absolutely crazy packed. Several rowdy parties who clearly had too much to drink. We chose to not participate in the Waterpark due to those issues. Security also said theft is a big problem in the water park.

All in all for the price we paid, I think we got our money's worth. Like I said earlier had we paid full price, I would be very disappointed.

Maybe they should limit the amount of participants until they can figure these issues out. Many people's reviews mention trash everywhere, I did not observe that but other than trash cleaning we saw no other cleaning or disinfecting being done.

If you can get discounted tickets go, if not pass until maybe next year.

Nice Visit
Jul 2021 • Family
Visited on a Monday and wasn’t crowded at all. Plenty of seats and no long lines. I think the most we waited for one of the bigger coasters was about 15/20 minutes. Food is on the expensive side but it’s not any more than the rest of the parks we’ve been to. It was clean with the exception of the bathrooms and tables. Bathrooms could be cleaned more often and the tables as well.

This family-friendly theme park has a fantastic Water Park, with ample "beach" seating, plenty for kids to do, an exciting Wave Pool and my favorite: The lazy river!

Long lines & short hours
Jul 2021 • Friends
If you are going to go to this place and try ride more than two rides, you either need to pay extra for the fast pass or plan to go open to close. Some of the rides could have been good but we only got to ride two rides before they shut down virtually everything except kiddie rides due winds and lightning in the area, with no rain check given. Not worth the price for the experience.

That said, the mind eraser was enjoyed by all who rode.
