It'd feel small on a rainy day, but if the weather is nice then take advantage of their great outdoor area. Adventure Forest was a great spot for the older siblings while the younger one played in the water, both the outdoor stream and the indoor water tables. The indoor exhibits were all great (bubble room, launching paper rockets) but the place was busy on a Tuesday morning so a shy kid might need encouragement getting up to an area. Cafe is limited.

We hosted our annual holiday party at The Children's Museum this year. The party was phenomenal. Our team members and their guests thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the many interactive elements. And a true plus was how wonderful Ryan Ting was to work with every step of the way.

We went on a Sunday and it was very crowded but my daughter had so much fun. A lot of different activities, you could spend hours here. One thing I didn’t realize is there’s a place for kids to play in water outside so I would recommend bringing extra clothes or a bathing suit.

We’ve been to children’s museums across the country and sadly this was among the most expensive but also the worst. Our youngest son uses a wheelchair and couldn’t really interact with anything. Yes, it is technically ADA accessible but it ends there. Parking was easy but now I see why all the handicap spots were available. The new exhibit where kids could climb through sofas was fun for my older son but my youngest just had to wait outside as he did at most exhibits. Not everything needs to be available to him but come on, he should have a lot more to interact with at a children’s museum.

This is one of the best Children's Museums we've ever been to! My girls (13, 8 and 6) all had a blast here. Their favorites were the outdoor climbing area, Altitude and the fire truck. But we got to do everything while we were there.
The only bummer was the onsite restaurant, it doesn't serve hot food, just snacks and premade sandwiches that you can heat up. 2 of my kids are picky eaters and we had to get by with just snacks. The gift shop is also on the smaller side and didn't have alot of selection - but somehow my kids found something to buy...
We spent almost 3 hours there and we could have spent more time if we had it.

Amazing museum! Indoor and outdoor exhibits were well done. It was crowded but it was nice to see staff sanitize areas frequently. You can easily spend 3-4 hours here. Recommend bringing water shoes if you’re going to do outside exhibits as there are wading pools and a sand area. Would definitely go back!

We have visited a few children’s museums around the country and this is one of our favorites. Pleasantly surprised at the variety of hands on maker spaces. Even a cooking class! My boys are 4 and 7 and we spent 4 hours here going round and round enjoying the distractions. It was rainy during our visit, so we missed out on the outdoor fun, but it looks amazing. Would have added 2-3 more hours to our adventure!

It was just okay. It was our first trip there and we had such high hopes. So many things didn't work. The bubble room looked so exciting and was such a huge disappointment. None of the things worked. Such a huge mess. The water area was much the same. Nothing working. Employees seemed to have a total lack of interest in the exhibits and making sure things were in working order. Not enough for younger kids. Day camp kids were everywhere and totally unsupervised. It really was a zoo. Definitely a disappointment.

Bubble room and outdoor sledding. Kids had so much fun we had to pace them to make sure they hit all rooms before they closed. You need at least 3 hours to fully explore and enjoy each space.

Our first visit here and WOW what a disappointment! I had always heard it was a beautiful museum, but it is actually not a museum at all but a industrial type building and more like a BAD playground for kids. The "Art Room" was one table with almost nothing on it, many of the water activies did not work, or were so boring that most kids left after about 5 minutes. The workshop idea was pretty cool, but it was filthy, not from the wood work but in general everything in it. Sorry for being so hard on them but I expected a nice place and it absolutely was not. The sandbox THING outside was sad - I will try to include a picture of the metal stairs that went to nothing but concrete, Very dangerous. The cafe was nothing but snacks, not even soda fountains. I am comparing it to Discovery Childrens Museum in Las Vegas and there is not comparison.

Planning on going for the free Tuesday night in August from 4-8pm. Visiting from out of state. I assume it will be packed. My kids are also 1 (just started walking), 3, 5 and 7. I also assume the 5 and 7 old would want to do the climbing stuff that the younger 2 can't do. Is the setup such that you can have the younger kids play nearby what the older kids are doing (we have multiple adults to watch the kids but would like to keep them in the general proximity). It also looked like the younger kids stuff have age restrictions where my oldest wouldn't be able to do either.

If the weather is nice the outside section will allow everyone to find something to enjoy. The have a huge sand pit, a stream you can float boats down, a little slide, a zip line swing and then a huge new outdoor climbing section. I’m not sure how the climbing section works as I believe it’s for kiddos 5 and up. I think you may have to sign up for a slot or perhaps wait in line to use it and I imagine at that time it would be packed. Think of the inside of the museum as a house with lots of different rooms. So feasibly you could be standing between two rooms and have happy kiddos in each room and be able to see all of them. There is a room that focuses on energy where the big kiddos could design and launch their own paper rockets (think paper airplanes) and 5 feet away is a huge lite bright that my 2 year old loves! There is also a big art room with modeling clay, paint, and markers/crayons/colored pencils etc that likely all the kids could find something they enjoy doing.

Is a 1year old who can walk and run to young, will there be things for her to do?
Written April 29, 2019
She will have fun. They have a section just for littles.
Enjoy!

It is 100% dependent on your child. As a teacher I have 4th grade students who could spend an entire day there, 100% engaged the entire time. These students tend to be filled with wonder and imagination and love to tinker. I have other students who, while desperately needing to engage themselves in those types of activities, never could because they spend their lives at home on electronics and the word "boring" would escape their lips minutes from entry to the Children's Museum, not for lack of things to do, but rather for lack of any desire to engage unless highly entertained. I have a 7 year old, who, depending on the day, can run the full spectrum from one end to the other. You know your own child best.

Hi! I was wondering how long I should plan on spending here with my kiddos? (They are 4 and 18 months). Thanks. :) Also, can we leave and come back in the same day?
Written May 3, 2015
This answer is from Ruth. I took my two-year-old grandson there, and we stayed for two hours. He was fully engaged the entire time. There are at least 20 different exhibits, all that are interactive for children. And, yes, you can leave and come back the same day.
