The best bookstore in the Denver! They have everything you need here and plenty of couches and chairs to read your books in. It's a wonderful place. Lots of books for all ages and a great kid section too to keep your kids entertained.

This is a classic bookstore which is perfect for browsing. The atmosphere is conducive to searching for and perusing books; and rather like being in a library the customers tend to speak very quietly. The coffee shop adds to the delight of relaxing with a...More

I was visiting Denver with girlfriends for a run, we visited this store 3 times during out stay! The staff was helpful and what a great place to browse. I bought a few books and a puzzle plus some gifts.

Sales legend wrote Foreword to my book. No respect was shown. Wouldn't let me come to discuss book signings. I am a local author. 15 LinkedIn "influencers" contributed to my book with quotes, comments, stories and perspectives. Local authors are made to feel 2nd rate...More

I came across this shop on a walk and I'm so glad I did. They have a wonderful selection of not only books, but also postcards and other little gifts. I ended up treating myself to several good finds, and I had a lovely conversation...More

Popped our heads in here, as I love independent booksellers of all stripes and make it a point to frequent their shops when in town. Great selection, a knowledgeable staff and a fantastic kids section made this a nice stop when touring LoDo. Looking forward...More

We visit one (or more) of these fine independent bookstores whenever we are in Denver. On our most recent trip, we actually visited two - the one on Colfax (the only one listed on Tripadvisor) and the one down in Littleton at the Aspen Grove...More

I fell in love with this place. There are four in the Denver area and we had to see two of them (this one and the one in Littleton - free parking!). Denver has a lot of meters for parking so it's not my favorite,...More

I spent 2 hours wandering around and I could have done it all day. A great old-fashioned bookstore that is loaded to the rafters with unique and current books. Several racks had great bargains which I indulged myself.

Trip report - thank you all experts (3 Replies)
A short trip report from a 57-y-old mom and a 15-y-old girl We had a wonderful five days in Denver, thanks to all experts help. Along with a big thank you, I would like to leave a brief trip report We stayed 5 days, two for a conference - which left us only three "tourist" days. We chose Homewood Suites, and it was a good decision. We were granted an early checkin - much appreciated, wonderful free breakfast, good internet, even free happy hour wine/snacks. Great location, next to 16th...More

Denver This Weekend! (6 Replies)
We're planning an impromptu trip to Denver, driving from Santa Fe on Friday. We've never been to Denver... Recommendations for dinner/movie/easy family evening on Friday night? We'll arrive around 6pm, I think. We're surprising our 9-year-old with a day at Water World (eeek!) on Saturday. Please recommend a relaxed and peaceful site for dinner ($20/person goal) on Saturday night... Sunday morning, we'd like to spend a couple of hours at Tattered Cover Bookstore - 16th or Colfax?...More

Where are you staying? I think Friday night I'd pick up pizza or have it delivered to the hotel (or Chinese, or pick up deli sandwiches) and order a pay-per view movie after hitting the hot tub/pool.
