My friends and I went on an annual celebration to the amusement park, and it was my first time. The park is old, but it's got charm and style. The age adds to the fear on each ride and kind of encourages one to spend more time in the arcades. I mean, the creaking on the Cyclone is scarier than... More

All kids like Elitches, but my teenagers have always loved Lakeside better. They get started in the yr by the DPS night in June and then they continue at least monthly, college students now, for the rest of the season. They've been doing this for 10 yrs or so! They Emmy the fact that it's cheaper, less crowded and they... More

Great place for young, growing children. Tickets are only .50 but if you can wait till labor day .10... (by um cheap n save for the next time) rides are ok, not prefect shape but kids don't care. Food isn't worth the price but you can take your own.

Lakeside is an unbelievably charming step back in time! Bear in mind it's not a modern high-tech theme park, and therein lies what's so special about it. Having visited nearly every amusement/theme park in the country, I can attest that Lakeside is one of the finest traditional parks out there. The buildings and rides may be old (and that's what... This place reminds me of our small town amusement park with a little bit larger rides. If your going for kids entertainment it's ok, but not much more. It's seriously run down but not trashy. Some paint, landscaping and replacing burned out lights would easily improve the atmosphere. It would be really neat if it were restored into a vintage... More

At least this place lets you take food in. The passes are at least reasonable for a family to be able to have a fun day out without spending $$$$$

While it's a tradition In my family to go to this amusement park it is definitely a disappointment to see no renovations or updates have been done and nothing new has been added. A number of the rides were out of order and the ones that were working were *for lack of a better word* lame. And the staff are... More

If you like Stranger Things, you will like Lakeside Amusement Park. Probably. It still feels like 1983 inside the park and if you love history or neon or offbeat or all three, this place is for you. Take the train around the lake, ride the rides or just walk around the park ogling the architecture and neon lighting. Do know... More

Dated ? Yes of course Lakeside has the awesome vintage feel of what entertainment was like in the years gone by. Fun? Oh yes what a great clean retro rude experience that you can only get at Lakeside!!
