Love all the rides, all the employees are super nice. Cash only for food but it is good, love their double cheeseburgers and fries. Super reasonably priced and all yummy. The neon lights at night are terrific. The Cyclone is one of the old school...More

Step back into the 1940's. It's all art-deco and old rides. All the usual stuff including a creaky and scary roller coaster. I really like this place. The staff is friendly and there's lots of older rides that you'll remember from childhood. It's got a...More

We found ourselves at Loveland Amusement Park in the afternoon on the 4th of July, looking for a way to entertain a young toddler in our family. He loved the kiddie rides but that’s about the only positive thing I can say about this place....More

Visited Lakeside for the first time yesterday (7/06/18) and want to say it was a great experience. How many places like this still exist in the U.S.? Not many I'm sure, and this one could use some help--from the City of Denver. Many lights need...More

We didn’t have any kids in our group and didn’t find this amusement park very special for adults only. It is inexpensive, traditional equipment like bumper cars etc. With proper expectations management a visit to this park can be really rewarding. Easy access from I70,...More

Well, yes, they do have restrictions on taking pictures. If you are taking "family" shots, that's okay. But, if you are taking pictures of the park, the architecture, or anything but other people, they do not allow it... More

Denver trip (1 Reply)
I'm going to Denver in mid June for a few days and will be going to Lakeside Amusement Park, Elitch's, Molly Brown's House, and the Platt Valley Trolley Line. The lion share of my stay will be at the amusement parks as I am a amusement park enthusiast. Are there any other interesting unique and historic places in the Denver area? Is Smashmouth Burger worth eating at? How are the crowds at the parks and what is the weather like at that time of year?

Sooo since U2 got postponed I am looking for some things to do that day with our 3 year old. Things I have looked into are Elitch Gardens, Lakeside Amusement Park, Aquarium (been there before) or Children s Museum. Seems as though the Children s Museum would be the best choice...... advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. We are going to the zoo already so thats already on our list. Staying downtown so somewhere in that region as well.

Hi, I highly recommend the Childrens' Museum for a 3yo! My kids are now 15 and 12, so we haven't been for quite a few years, but it is a great place for kids under about 10! Everything is hands on and there are enough exhibits and activities to keep a little one happy for at least a few hours! And of course it is very kid friendly. There is an old trolley ride you can take right behind the museum. It's about 10 - 15 minutes long and gives you a nice view of the Platte Valley. When...More
