Most terrifying ride of my life- it's a must!

Ride the cyclone, it is a rackety old wooden roller coaster and it's a near death experience. Terrifying! I thought my 4 year old son was going to fall out. You get air in that... read more

Dated ? Yes of course Lakeside has the awesome vintage feel of what entertainment was like in the years gone by. Fun? Oh yes what a great clean retro rude experience that you can only get at Lakeside!!

Ride the cyclone, it is a rackety old wooden roller coaster and it's a near death experience. Terrifying! I thought my 4 year old son was going to fall out. You get air in that thing. It's nuts. Stay away from it if you have neck issues..... Loved the vintage neon. It's a dated amusement park but our kids loved... More

Old places can be charming and historic but sometimes they can be terrible. Most kids will enjoy this place as there are plenty of rides and things to do but don't think of this as a big dollar amusement park as it is far from it. if you're on a shoe string budget and want to get the kids outside... I spent most of my time in this park thinking about the potential it has. The retro vibe is great, but unfortunately everything in this park just seems run down. Paint is peeling, bulbs are out and the the namesake lake is full of dead fish. The wooden coaster is a great one, and if you are a coaster aficionado,... More

Rhoda & Brenda -- please make your park sparkle like it once did. When I drive home on I-70 at night and see the Tower of Jewels I feel sad that it's not properly illuminated. Besides the tower, there are hundreds (or more?!) light bulbs that need replaced. Please give the ol' lady the care and attention she needs! And... More

If you love all things vintage and amusement parks, this is the place for you! Much of the park is original--this can be unnerving at times--like rollercoasters that are ancient, but I avoided those. This park has a lot of fine rides and I love to see original park items!

We haven't been in ten years and 5 min after being there we remembered why. The thought of a vintage amusement park is cool.. Opened in 1908... How cool is that!?! But from the dead plants, the rides from the 1970's, the sketchy clientele and those that feel smoking while waiting in the lines is acceptable... That feeling of nostalgia... More

So this is a really cool and affordable amusement park. The architecture covers many interesting time periods. The rides in this park also cover "old school" rides like a wooden roller coaster and The Whip. It is not what I would call polished or pristine but it is very family friendly. They allow you to bring a picnic in and... More

This is the third year in a row that we've made it a point to take advantage of those coupons they hand out through school. Kids are now 7 and 9 and it's still so worth it. We went on a Monday night and there was hardly anyone there so the kids got to go on so many rides. Some... More
