I always stop at this museum when in Cripple Creek. The tour guide was very interesting and the place is chock full of history. A nice place to visit in Cripple Creek to learn some of stories about it's former life.

People skip this place over a lot but it holds tons of history about the city of Cripple Creek, the red light district, and Madam Pearl Devere. The Homestead House offers guided and informative tours of the only remaining brothel left in Cripple Creek. It...More

This is an actual 1890's brothel. No working girls but the tour guide did a great job telling their story. Not very costly.

Whooda' thunk a tour of an old brothel could be such fun? Despite the unsavory nature of the place's reason for being, the tour is lighthearted and full of relevant historical detail.

Best bet - call the Heritage Center: 719 689-3315. My guess is that it's probably not open in April (too much snow and no tourists). But still best to check with the folks that know for sure.

I don't remember exactly how much tickets were. Less than $10 a person I'm sure. Your took about 30-45 mins. It's definitely worth it. Lots of old history in that place.
