I have not seen a melodrama at the Butte, but we did see Little Shop of Horrors and it was excellent. There was not a bad singer in the cast.

We specifically came for a show featuring 50s music. 4 young ladies did a really nice, fun review last about one and one-half hours.

We really didn’t know what to expect, but boy were we wowed! We saw the Marvelous Wonderettes and it was absolutely amazing. The cast was every bit as talented as shows that we’ve seen in large cities. It was so much fun being in such...More

We saw two shows, a musical, The Marvelous Wonderettes, about 1958 high school prom and then 10-year reunion. Enjoyed the very talented four young ladies. The melodrama on Saturday night had a varied cast and were quite talented. An entertaining evening with full bar and...More

Great thing to do in Cripple Creek with kids. They really got into the traditional melodrama booing and hissing. Olio after the show might have even been better than the melodrama itself! All of us were laughing so-o-o hard.

We spent a lovely evening at this delightful theatre. We were warmly greeted at the box office and bar by enthusiastic staff who we later realised were the cast of the show. 'The Wonderettes' was an outstanding show, performed by 4 very talented young ladies....More

The melodrama at The Butte Theatre is some of the most fun you can have in Cripple Creek. Such wonderful productions and amazing talent! And the hard-working actors even do double duty as ushers and in the snack bar.

We saw “Forever Plaid.” It was a terrific performance. Get you tickets in advance. Performance will likely be booked if you wait too late. My husband didn’t really want to go, but even he enjoyed it.

Unexpected surprise. Thought we had tickets to the Melodrama. Lol. Once we realized the error we still had fun. Glad we didn’t Boo or Hiss. Lol. The four actors were great

My family have been coming here for more than 20 years. This is, without a doubt, one of the best things to do in all of Cripple Creek! It is great fun for families, and it is impossible not to feel the infectious earnest joy...More

Hi there! I highly recommend Row D or Row G. These rows are raised, so you get the best view! However, the theater is nice and small, so there really isn't a bad seat in the house.
