Way too crowded this year, however, the staff at elevation and surrounding restaurants didn't show the stress. Everyone remain friendly, extremely helpful, and gave us great service.

We really enjoyed the skiing here, something for everyone. I am green skiier but ventured on to my first blues on this mountain. Other folks in our group loved the blues and blacks. During the week, no wait in line. The ski school was fantastic. Get the discount card if you are going for a multi day stay its worth... More

All varieties of ski runs. The signs are not very good but the runs are fun. Plenty of wide trails and tree runs.

Crested Butte is a long way from anywhere. However, its relative isolation is one of its charms. The ski area is expansive which spreads the skiers around and minimizes lines at the lifts. There is large amount of intermediate terrain to complement the expert slopes and bowls. The views from almost any slope are breathtaking. Downtown is a real town... More

Great review, Knyte7, thank you! Crested Butte is definitely not the most convenient location, but the distance makes it feel you're truly getting away while not needing to go above-and beyond to get there. In fact, the drive into Crested Butte is very scenic and has been regarding as "an enjoyable part of the trip" by many guests. Once in... More

Crested Butte is enjoying a great snow year and I hit it at the right time with 4 friends. Six to Nine inches of snow and minimal lines made for a great 2 days of skiing. If you like steep, they have it. If you like cruisers, they have it. Not the largest in Colorado but you will get your... More

Hi loesshawk2015, Absolutely! CBMR has been hammered with snow this year, and I'm glad you were able to get in on the fun! I think you were spot on with your review: Crested Butte is a somewhat "naturally divided" mountain that caters to all ability levels - perfect for families. I'm super glad that you had a fun time in... More

They have 24 feet of snow, an 84" base and virtually no lift lines; why? because they are hard to get to and pretty hard core skiing; even the ones with the silly looking fashionable gear can ski. this is an out of the way outpost of the western city ski resort but a unique combination of a big mountain,...
