Be sure to read about the town of Bachelor before you go....there are still some old cabins but leave things where they are. Do not collect anything...there's amazing history up there. And the view is spectacular!!!

Bad roads, but pretty scenery so worth the trouble. Just go slowly if in a car or the oil pan will be damaged. Be prepared to squeeze past any oncoming vehicles, very narrow road.

Definitely recommend using the 504 and not the 503. We had no problem in a mini-van with lower clearance. Height of fall colors made this a breathtaking drive.

If you find your self any where near Creede you must get here and do this drive. The route circles around in the mountains behind the town. Very scenic. A must stop on the route is the Last Chance Mine. Great story and great people.

Coming to Creede without making this drive should be a crime. You will not be disappointed. Allow yourself time for stops and photo taking along the way. Enjoy!

We enjoyed touring the area and seeing all the historic remnants of the silver mines that gave rise to the town of Creede.

Incredible scenery with amazing history. My family loved it! 4 wheel drive will make the trip easier. The historical mine buildings are very cool to see. Wish we had taken the tour.
