This 17 mile loop along a gravel road was highly entertaining. It takes you past old silver mining operations, as it ascends to the top of the canyon, before descending back into Creede. Don’t miss the side road to the Last Chance mine, sitting high...More

We drove up Bachelor Loop in the rain and enjoyed seeing mines and scenery. As the sun came out, everything looked brighter. Make sure you stop by the Last Chance Mine. Great tour, artifacts and views! Worth the trip.

Great scenery and geological dream. Don't miss the strange little mining museum at the top. (last chance mine) I would skip the 15 $ tour. Not worth it. BUT great rocks and minerals for sale.

Stop by the Visitor Center to grab a map....for $3 you can get a map with extensive explanations of the 16 sites on Bachelor's Loop in addition to the map. Superb scenery and interesting history of Creede.

Road is narrow on spots and graded dirt, but the journey is well worth your time. We went as a group of six cars which required a little management when we meet traffic coming in the opposite direction. Our compact passenger car managed the roads...More

Top of Main St. in Creede, continue on for spectacular views of the Creede, Colorado area. You'll pass many old mine buildings, no longer in use for some spectacular photo ops. An easy drive.

I've seen them on the loop. Probably from nearby motels but not sure. Colorado doesn't permit them on state highway roads (they'll ticket you if caught)

Yes, you can travel this road in a regular vehicle. It is suggested to travel in a counter-clockwise direction as the steepest part is just north of Creed and is easier to navigate going uphill.
