I really like ute valley park. There is some great hiking, biking and running trails. It is a great park to explore as the park trails are laid out in circles, so it is very hard to get lost. Its so nice and quiet it...More

The park is a nice spot of nature in the city. People and their dogs, however, make it undesirable at times. Too many irresponsible dog owners let pets off leash (despite a leash law!), and some can be aggressive. The other problem is the mess...More

Had a great time doing a loop hike (some of us ran) at Ute. The parking was easy, the views were fantastic, and at 6am this was pretty uncrowded. Highly recommend.

The is a very pretty park, although trails can be confusing. Years ago spotted a rattlesnake but we were able to avoid it.

Ute Valley Park is on the western side of Colo Spgs. There is plenty of room in this park, and it gives the feel of being more isolated. I would recommend being alert when out on the trails, wildlife encounters are possible. Not a thrill...More

It's a sprawling park in the middle of town. Lots of trails for hiking and biking. Parking on north side with another overflowing parking lot nearby. The ridge can get windy. The lower trails are more shielded and warmer in temperature. Some of these are...More

This gem of a park is smack dab in the middle of suburban Colo. Spgs, yet it feels like a mountain getaway. The mtb and hiking trails are accessible and once you are in the park, you feel like the nearby houses have all but...More

One of my very favorites to walk! So many choices of trails, and all beautiful. And it is very accessible and close to town!

We weren’t too sure whether this hike would feel “rugged” or not, being inside the city, but it most certainly did! We did the whole loop, which took us about an hour and half, as we stopped a lot to take in the views, which...More

Great place to walk your dog on a leash. There are rattlesnakes in the summer, so you have to be on the look out. A map is also a good thing to take with a compass.
