A few cautions, but lots to recommend
Sep 2020
The Resort includes use (For a mandated fee) of the Colorado Country Club which includes tennis courts and a great and varied pool area, including a beach alongside the lake. The views are spectacular and the place was spotless and not crowded at all. Drink prices are high, with basic beers costing $7. Still, this amenity makes the hotel stay particularly enjoyable. Our room was basic and pleasant with a lovely view overlooking the golf course -- we paid a small premium for this room, but we wanted a room with a view. The golf course is world class--a hidden gem, I'd suggest. Perfectly maintained, a challenging but fair layout, and an interesting variety of holes. Well worth it. Our dinner meals, all reasonably priced, were hit and miss. (We ate our own prepared lunch and breakfast in the room) We had some food that was delicious and some that was not up to expectations. The service was mindbogglingly slow but as we had nowhere else to be, we didn't fuss--this may be a Covid related issue, with too few servers serving too many guests, but I don't know that for a fact. And the front desk staff could up their game in terms of friendliness. Yet all in all, we came away pretty positive and have no qualms about recommending, especially if you play golf, use the extensive aquatic area and don't have a strict timetable to keep.

Country Club of Colorado
Jan 2019 • Family
The Country Club of Colorado is a tremendous place and has been a large contributor to the happiness in my move to Colorado Springs. The amenities located here at the club are some of the best in Colorado Springs and continue to improve daily. The Country Club of Colorado is located perfectly at the foothills of Cheyenne Mountain and displays a spectacular view while you are golfing, working out, swimming, or just enjoying a nice dinner at Gates Grille. The staff at the club is very friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile because they feel they are just as much part of the Country Club family. Nate at golf does a tremendous job keeping the course up to par and ensuring member happiness. Newly hired Corey and Ryan have hit the ground running improving the fitness center and aquatics center greatly, including the newly opened indoor pool. The Country Club of Colorado has members that some of the most successful and genuinely good people in all of Colorado Springs, that give the club a great family feel. All in all, the Country Club of Colorado is a great place to be a member of and has become a second home to my family and me.

Horrifies
May 2018
I usually love going to this country club, but the last time I went there I was horribly disrespected. The last time I went there, I ordered a Bloody Mary from a bartender named Mason. When I ordered it, instead of asking for my ID, he said “I don’t think you’re old enough to order a Bloody Mary,” in front of everybody, which embarrassed me greatly. I know I look young and I turned 21 not too long ago, but I don’t deserve to be horribly mistreated like that simply for ordering a drink.

Nice Golf Course at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort -
Jul 2017 • Friends
Spectacular location at the 'feet' of the Cheyenne Mountain Chain. We played in a team of three, 18 holes and had a lot of fun. The course is certainly not made for beginners like me, but I still enjoyed playing with my friends.

I'm a member, which says something

Tremendous views, great golf course, an even greater Fitness and Aquatic Center are center attractions at this private club. The small restaurant, closed in winter, offers decent sandwiches and limited entrees.

The country club was once owned by a Denver magnate, but is now managed by the next door Cheyenne Mountain Resort where members are given a 20 percent discount on great food (but see an 18 percent gratuity charge added back). All in all, a good place for couples and families alike.

Great Sunday brunches!

I'm biased because I'm a member of the Country Club. But if the restaurant wasn't good and I didn't get my money's worth out of the spa, fitness center and indoor and outdoor pool, I'd resign and go somewhere else. It's in a beautiful location and the views are great. We bring guests there all the time.

Well worth the visit
Jun 2015 • Friends
We were staying at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, and I pre-booked a round of golf when making the hotel reservation. The day before, I changed the time as the weather forecast wasn't great - the staff were very accommodating.
On the day, the weather held up, and the afternoon was absolutely amazing - starting with the service we received in the Pro Shop, the immaculate cart, and the spectacular views from each of the nine holes we played (sometimes it was hard to concentrate on the shot!).

Poor Management, Dogs Defecating in Pool and Beach Areas
Jul 2015 • Family
If you are looking for a Country Club or Resort experience, this is definitely not it. How many top quality resorts allow dogs defecating in the pool/beach areas, sniffing guests' crotches, or running in to small kids? Research other top quality clubs and resorts, and you'll find there are others in the area that allow a true resort experience in a beautiful setting without dogs in the pool and beach areas. We would recommend you go somewhere else if you want to enjoy a family vacation where you and your family are a priority, and not the neighborhood dogs.

Great Condition - Tough Course
Jul 2014 • Family
Wonderful if not pricey golf course in fantastic condition. It's a tough course where you pay for your mistakes. My only complaint is that the GPS in the cart kept turning off and you had to reboot. I had my own GPS as a backup

Ongoing memorable experience as a member of the Country Club of Colorado
Jan 2014 • Family
I have been a club member at The Country Club of Colorado for nearly 10 years. As a large family of 10, we have found great value in our club membership and without hesitation would recommend CCOC to anyone looking for a meaningful and safe family atmosphere, excellent service, and a great golf experience. My children’s (8) ages vary between 1 and 16 and we can all attest to an overall unbelievable experience for many years. As we sit in very close proximity to the club, our family has been able to use all facets, but just wish that we were more frequently visiting the fitness center. The kids are always looking forward to Spring and Summer activities and our fondest family memories have taken place during the big club parties at the beach, like the Hawaiian Luau, July 4th and Club Birthday Party. The kids love the music, games, kiddie pool and playground and we would not miss these events for anything. A few of the benefits unique to our family are the unparalleled postcard views on the patio for dinner and the ease of getting a tee time. As an avid golfer, I also appreciate a 4 hour round, which the club monitors closely on summer days. My kids are also learning golf and participate in the golf camps, which are led by one of the country’s most renowned instructors, Ann Finke. These intangibles cannot be put in a brochure. Thank you CCOC and staff-
