Nice discovery of space exhibits

They have lots of exhibits of space related items and are constantly changing. It's not located on the "beaten path" but it's worth visiting.

After living in the Springs for over 6 years, I finally visited the Space Foundation. We had our company Christmas party here so we had good food provided by a local caterer. After lunch, we played games all throughout the center and learned a lot about space. Fun for the whole family!

It was quite pricey, especially considering what is offered. Not a lot for younger children and the staff seemed bothered to have people visiting. I tried to do everything available to make it worth the time and money; however, my daughter was bored (and I don't blame her). We spent about 1-hour total time. We won't return.

We went here with our 8 year old for a free admission day. It was brief, but has some very educational information. Interactive screens and some centers are interactive. It was short though 30 min. My 8 year old said: It's one of the best space places I have ever been to. I liked the build a circuit center the... More

Small museum with a lot of information, interesting and well done exhibits, all nicely put together. They also have some cool interactive video displays. Staff was pleasant and helpful, will go back here again sometime.

This is a great little space museum. Not a ton of stuff to do, but what is there is well done and informative.

I took my Granddaughters 7 and 10 to the Space Foundation Discovery Center. They had a good time building and shooting a straw rocket. There was no extra charge for building this rocket. There was other interactive things for them to do. You could build a circuit, a catapult, make as space ship out of Lego's to name a few.... More

I had heard great things about this place, but I was very underwhelmed. There are some interesting displays, but only enough to take up about an hour or so. A good fourth of the museum is dedicated to a children's play area, which was clearly popular, but didn't make much sense being in a space museum. The museum also had... More

Sorry to hear you were underwhelmed. The ‘children's play area’ is part of the “Super Kids Save The Planet” exhibit here on loan thanks to our partnership with the Pikes Peak Children’s Museum (PPCM). This exhibit offers important lessons about why it is critical to take care of our home planet and our future as we explore the universe. Most... More

My grandsons aged 18 months and 6 years had a great time here. So many hands-on events. There's a simulated consignment shop and the kids are allowed to wear any of the clothes during their visit. Little girls were dressed in sequins and jewelry. Anyone can be the "cashier." Little scientist room where kids can wear a lab coat and... More
