We have a zoo pass so the mysterious shrine is part of the package. The drive right THROUGH the zoo, right through, very slowly , then up the semi steep, semi freakishly high( yet beautiful )road . Just when you aren’t sure if you wanna...More

If you're looking for an interesting piece of history and great views, this is the spot to be. This shrine is simply that—a shrine. It's not exactly a museum, although it's full of photos of Will Rogers and murals from the early days of Colorado...More

We expected a lot of cool things to see but really it's just a monument you can climb and look out over. It wasn't worth the extra hassle to get to the top.

Spent an hour here learning about the history of both Will Rogers and the Penrose Rose family. The shrine, the views and the rich history was an unexpected treat on our visit to the zoo!

If your pet can climb almost 100 stairs, then no reason why your pet shouldn't enjoy the shrine. I don't recall seeing any notices that pets were not allowed!
