I recently attended the Firebird performance. This is the 4th time I have viewed a performance at Simpich over the last 7 years. Absolutely loved them all!!!!!! David, the puppeteer and creator, is magical in his ability to captivate and entertain. During Firebird the audience...More

I visited Simpich marionette theater for research for a book, and ended up entranced by the sheer talent of David Simpich. Not only are the puppets handmade by he and his family, but he's a very talented voice actor and writes the scripts himself. I...More

Returned recently to see the Old Man and the Mermaid after going two years ago to see The Secret Garden. Once again, we were stunned by the level of artistry and theater put on by this small family business. Quality family entertainment (especially secular) and...More

The history of this fabulous showcase is right here in Colorado Springs. Their puppets are magnificent. I wish they still had their cloud babies and other characters available. I loved adding them to my collections

As locals, we try to make the various Simpich Shows that are held throughout the year. But, the museum-like showcase is worth a visit, especially if you are a Simpich fan. Highly Recommended.

What an amazing place! Handmade marionettes, uniquely adapted scripts and stage settings, and one man who does it all! Although the scripts can be a bit dark and trend toward the religious side, it's worth going at least once. It is unique family entertainment. Shows...More

David Simpich and his marionettes are amazing! He is an incredibly talented artist and the marionettes are exquisite. We had no idea what to expect but even the reluctant guys in our group enjoyed the performance of Oliver Twist. Our group was all over 55...More

The artistry behind the show and talent to execute it so well is truly amazing. The museum of dolls is well-done, but the show was what we enjoyed the most. They recommend the show for children over 6 years old. Our 4 and 5 year...More

No, definitely not for young kids. At least 4-6 years old depending on the child. It is a small, quiet theater, and an unsettled child will ruin it for all in the theater. The shows are about 1.5 hours with an intermission... More
