Terrific downtown that's busy enough to have bustling bars and restaurants and shops, but small enough to feel manageable and safe. I had a great lunch and then wandered through shops and art galleries. Loved it.

We spent a week at the SpringHill Suites downtown. Ate amazing Italian at Red Gravy, delicious brunch at Urban Egg, had the best cronuts at Dad’s Donuts, went to a Switchbacks soccer game which ended with a fireworks show, found some great buys at several stores, had mocktails at Shame and Regret, and attended the first Friday Art Walk which was so fun!!!

Downtown Colorado Springs is full of surprises. This little-big-city is packed with rich cultural experiences, locally focused small businesses and family fun. Where Downtown Colorado Springs thrives the most is in events. It seems like there is always something cool going on from quirky performance art, punk rock shows, poetry readings, pop-up dinners, wine tastings, drag shows, storytelling events to festivals, zine fests and art walks! I recommended walking the Tejon and Bijou strips to start then plan for events in the evening to make the most of your stay. Check out events on Peak Radar, scope what Kinship Landing is hosting or Cottonwood Center for the Arts. This magical town is waiting to prove all your pre-conceived notions wrong.

The downtown is still small enough that you can experience events, concerts, food and entertainment without waiting in huge lines or paying crazy prices. They've got a cool art scene with sculptures, murals, etc displayed throughout the downtown, plus tons of unique shops and surprisingly amazing food.

Downtown Colorado Springs is a cultural gem and growing by leaps and bounds. Take a walk up and down Tejon Street or veer off on one of the many cross streets for a mix of eclectic art, boutique shops, and tantalizing chef experiences. Check out where Olympic City kicks back to enjoy the serenity of mountain views amidst charming coffee shops, iconic breweries, and buildings steeped in Colorado history. Try out the vegan options while you rock climb indoors. See a comedy show with internationally aclaimed stand-ups and retire to your upscale hotel, or even try your hand at "camping" at the Kinship Landing. A must see experience!

What a wonderful city center. Set within the jaw-dropping beauty of Pikes Peak and the surrounding front range, there are unique retail shops for every need, amazing independent restaurants & bars, and all types of services to make your stay memorable and exciting. There are many new hotels downtown representing every major brand. We love Downtown Colorado Springs.

My husband and I took advantage of a nice sunny spring day and enjoyed lunch and walking around looking at all of the murals and sculptures. There are lots of great dining and drinking options, and fun shops to browse.
