Really enjoyed the park. The water falling from the circular sculpture is delightful and fun to watch as it makes 360 turns. The grassy areas are well-kept, considering the traffic they get. There is covered pavilion for eating and the adjacent playground is very fun...More

We looked this park up after reading how awesome it was for kids. Not too difficult to find, but not much around it either. There was a large and varied playground, and our three year old had a good time. The mulch is old and...More

Don't waste your time. Nice enough park, just ruined by the homeless taking it over. Would be a nice place if it weren't for all the panhandlers and people of questionable charector!

It seems like this is a meeting place for the homeless. Kind of a base camp for the indigent. People smoking pot every direction I looked. Too bad too!

Katharine Lee Bates got it right when she chose this area to write America The Beautiful. When you stand in this park looking at Pikes Peak it just leaves you in awe. I love the way the city has spruced up the park with cool...More

We stopped here to cool off and run off some of the kids energy. The water fountain is managed and overseen by a life guard. It isn’t too deep and even out toddle was able to easily play in water. The play equipment was great...More

That's a good question. I know they have a specific picnic area, but did not recall viewing anyone using grills. I would check with the Colorado Springs Parks Dept., or the Visitors' Center. They are very helpful.
