Surprising adventure. The 5 mile drive on the dirt mountain road was thrilling all by itself. Your literally driving up the side of the mountain with no guard rails. Being afraid of heights it was spooky. The stables and the staff were so friendly and patient with all their customers, young and old. I so recommend this to anyone that's... More

We are novices on a horse and we did the 2-hour trail ride with very sedate and calm horses. The views were spectacular along the trail. Being the last week of August, all the locals are back in school and work, so it was just our family of 3 on the ride. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

My family visited in July and had a great ride. My daughter (9) loves horses and the staff was great with her. Purchase Hugh's book at the office, he has lived many great adventures. Laurie mailed me a copy because they were out of stock when we visited. We saw a fox during our ride but missed the buffalo. The... More

This place is amazing... seriously. The drive there is a little tough, but the destination is worth it. Because it's relatively remote, you really do feel like you're in an old mining town in another time. The staff and guides were excellent and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and the horses were in great shape. The ride was scenic... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the two hour horse back ride! Our guide was phenomenal..very kind, helpful, and knowledgable. We were able to see some really cool things, including a waterfall, old gold mine, and some wildlife! Getting to the stables is an adventure in itself, but the trip is worth it! We highly recommend Old... More

We had four in our group and took the 2 hour ride. I can't describe how beautiful the scenery was. Dennis our guide was very friendly and full of knowledge! The horses were well behaved. We definitely would go back. The drive up the mountain took longer then the drive down, lol.

Great experience all the way around! Friendly and accommodating staff. Beautiful horses. The hour ride through Pike's Peak National Forest was awesome! We didn't want the ride to end! Would definitely go back but would ride longer. The staff was very knowledgeable of the area too. The drive up the mountain was an adventure in itself and the views were... More
