This is a great drive in the fall when the aspens are turning to gold. Actually a great drive anytime as you can imagine the gold ore being hauled on this road or the abandoned railroad from Cripple Creek mines to the mill in Colorado...More

A precarious trip at times as road can be very narrow, but certainly, an interesting way to reach cripple creek from CO Springs. Dress appropriate to the season, you never know what could happen.

I grew up near here, and have taken this drive well over 1000 times. It never gets old because the views are absolutely incredible. Some areas are real tight so you must be prepared to take your time, and drive slow. There are 2 tunnels...More

We rode out Gold Camp Road from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek. It was pretty bumpy at times, narrow, and spectacular. We packed a lunch and brought drinks. It was a fun day. Lots of campers, people shooting guns, and taking pictures of the amazing...More

Great drive, but drive slow and beep horn before going in tunnels and around corners. Good views of the front range.

We had a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon and went for a drive on Upper Gold Camp Road. The views were wonderful. The road is tight in areas, be patient.

Gold Camp Road provides a stunning drive in rugged terrain, including two very cool tunnels. There are places to stop and check out the views. But in recent years, it has become overrun with just too many people, most of whom have no regard for...More

The drive heading up the mountain offered breathtaking views of the city below, but when the road turns to gravel, you’re in for a treat! What a beautiful red rock mountain oasis. There are pleasantly of lookouts and trails.

Been on Gold Camp Road during the summer, during the rainy season, and during the snow. The snow is definitely the most fun time to drive it, but, make sure that you have 4WD and know the road and curves and have a survival kit...More
