Spent the summer in Colorado Springs and had family members join us throughout the time for short visits. Our grandson and his family wanted to visit the Air Force Academy. We were greeted at the chapel by docent Mark F., who through his knowledge and humor showed us a wonderful side of the Air Force not expected. Mark also knew... More

The Visitor Center gives a great story of 4 years in the life of a cadet. There is a gift shop where you can pick up a trinket or t-shirt. You can walk over to the chapel that is an architectural dream to see. Unique from the outside & the inside.

Stopped here on our way to Garden of the Gods. Very interesting movie detailing the life of the cadets. Chapel was pretty but not as nice as the Navel Academy. Campus is spread out in a valley with mountains around it.

The visitors center gives a very nice self-guided tour which details the 4 years of an Academy Cadet. Very informative. Gift shop at end of tour. You can walk or drive to the Chapel, which is really beautiful and the views of the Rockies from the Chapel windows are amazing. There are signs along the drive/road for each venue, but... More

What a sense of pride this place makes you feel. Our service people that get assigned to train here are lucky! Beautiful scenery, state of the art facilities, complete attention to detail for every type of spiritual/religious observation at the cathedral. Just top notch. Watch video at visitor center.

This institution is wonderful. The setting is captivating and the dedication of the individuals that attend is refreshing and a wonderful reminder of the need to embrace places like this that will provide the future leaders with character in our military.

I'd recommend a visit to the Air Force Academy to anyone, but especially the patriotic and those families with teenagers. The video overview is excellent and makes you want to be a part of such an exciting place. The gift store is huge and has a little bit of everything, and the displays are well done. The walk from the... More

Air Force does an excellent job hosting a football game. Plenty of action on and off the field. Food is very good.
