We are not church goers, but can appreciate grand architecture and history. The chapel is so worth visiting, stunning building and even on a foggy morning the colour of the windows gave a beautiful glow inside. There are three areas for worship here, the main chapel, the lower level Catholic chapel and then to the rear of the lower level... More

Awe inspiring architecture in set in an area you swear almost touches the sky. Whoever, chose this site and build these structures did their homework. And the most impressive of all are the young men and women who call this are their home.

As part of our Ship's reunion (USS ZELLARS DD777) we visited the Air Force Academy for our Memorial, to lost sailors in a kamikaze attack in 1944, at the Chapel. Thanks to the Air Force for allowing us to use the Chapel and also a great lunchon the put on for us.

Nice, patriotic stop while heading south on the interstate. Visitors area only, access to most of the campus is restricted as this is a military installation. Be sure to check out the amazing chapel.

My brother in law went here so it was very interesting to come and visit. The short film at the visitor center was most informative and gave a fantastic insight into what the cadets must do and go thru. I short walk and we could visit the Chapel and admire its unique modern look. You could look down at the... More

It was not my idea to visit but I am very glad I did. The chapel is a beautiful example of modernistic architecture. Very inspiring!! There are separate chapels for the different branches of religion with Christianity being the largest, most beautiful and inspiring. I also really enjoyed the bronze models of a number of different Air Force planes which... More

I had not visited the Air Force Academy for more than 50 years. The scenery is breathtaking. We started at the Visitor Center and looked at all of the exhibits. We walked down to the chapel and watched the cadets lineup for lunch. There was a fly over by 4 fixed wing aircraft. This is a must for the entire... More

Nestled against the Rocky Mountains, this is a MUST SEE. The Air Force has done an awesome job with all the facilities -- check out the field house, chapel, and the golf courses. Awesome!
