Chapel and other areas were closed
Oct 2021
Parking was WAY congested, cars parked everywhere, even blocking the entrance. It's an amazing thing to see, and we actually saw an Osprey fly over us, and several Blackhawk helicopters. The "movie" was interesting, but I can watch that kind of stuff on Youtube. Check ahead if you want to see the Chapel, which was our primary interest - the website indicated it was open, but it was not.

A Must See! Watch video in visitors center (20 min)!
Sep 2021
Huge campus, but worth the drive around. Was able to go into the football stadium for some great pictures! The video of what a cadet goes through for four years is great. My daughter went to the Navel Academy, so I knew what to expect. The sad news is that the chapel is under renovation until 2023, so that was disappointing, but still worth the visit.

spend an afternoon at the academy

Upon arrival, I went to the visitors' center seemed dated although the movie was enjoyable. The campus is very spread out. The museum had some interesting displays, but not as many as I expected. Also, the chapel still remains closed despite it being a must see.

Worth a stop
Aug 2021 • Couples
We really enjoyed this visit. Great, large visitor center with helpful people. Watch the 21 minute video of the life of a first year and walk around the exhibit at the very least. You can get a map there that shows where you can walk/hike as well as drive, and we did that for about an hour. While there are sections you can’t visit and, sadly, the chapel is under wraps for a two year renovation, there is much you can visit and definitely worth an hour or two of your time. There are some great views of the mountains and surrounding area also.

Chapel still closed
Aug 2021
The setting is beautiful. The museum is modern and very nice. The movie was well done. I just wish that we could have gone in the chapel or at least been able to photograph the outside. The chapel has a box covering the outside.

Nice Visit
Sep 2020
I'm not sure you would want to visit this while the chapel is closed (restoration). But once it opens, it is fun to visit once and see where the Academy is and the unique chapel.

Patriotic, Inspiring and Beautiful Place to Visit
Aug 2021
Amazing campus! Educational, beautiful and inspiring. We stopped by the football stadium on our way out and ended up getting a tour of the locker room by the extremely knowledgable and kind facilities manager Jack (and the cutest dog ever Coby). Chapel was under construction unfortunately. Would like to see that someday. Definitely recommend this stop!

A must see

The Chapel at the Academy is absolutely breathtaking. Nothing like it. Interesting and informative displays on the grounds. Good place for children and adults alike.

We could not get in due to Covid regulations but apparently you can book online in-car tours. The viewing area does allow you to see the stadium, etc. Definitely worth visiting.

Huge and lots of trees.

I've been here before but it's always a pleasure to visit. I'm Air Force retired so I can use all the facilities here. We used the commissary, BX, gas station, and library. I love it here. I wanted to see the free fall parachute facility because I graduated from that course in 1990, but the gate was locked. I guess a lot has happened in the past 31 years.
