It’s okay

There’s not a lot of history in this place. Has some history in it and it’s free so it was nice to just walk around and see what they had

Stop by other than going to local festival that was crap! This place and staff are outstanding! Not only tons of knowledge but locals so they really love what they do. My guide was awesome she had done the bike tour the weekend prior! This is a true hidden gem needs to be promoted more. I will be visiting to research the house I live in. Highly recommend this place with the stop and amazing displays donation is appreciated but not necessary.

Hidden Gem
Apr 2019
Stopped here a second time with friends and we are impressed again. Wonderful volunteers made this trip even better. Leave with a great deal of information and the history of the area. Well worth the time.

Good source for local genealogy research
Jan 2019 • Couples
There is a small museum here with interesting exhibits about dinosaurs and local history. There are employees available to help with local history and genealogy research and they are extremely helpful. If they have the info, they will find it for you. Copies are 10 cents each, or you can just take photos of most docs with your cell phone for free.

Took our 3 small kids here and the tour guide was great at explaining everything so that they could understand. He was quick and fun when answering all their questions. This is an amazing hidden gem that no one should pass up.

Awesome little Museum

The story behind it makes it even more special. The exhibits are well laid out with informational plaques throughout. The staff is friendly, not overly 'stalker ish' like some places we have gone. They linger but not in your face so you can enjoy your tour and ask questions if need be. The cabin out back is a must see as well. We spent almost an hour there despite it's small size. My husband was enamoured by the WWI exhibit. A must see if you are in the area. Oh and its FREE! We donated as we felt places like this need to be preserved, local history should be cherished and passed on. The only downside is there are no pictures or video allowed so we couldn't give examples of what we saw.

A Gold Mine of Information

As an author of historical Westerns, I frequently visit RGRM for accurate information and unique inspiration. The featured exhibit changes from time to time, and the dinosaur exhibit on the second floor is superb.

A real gem

A must see museum if you enjoy history or fossils. Historical displays rotate, and the staff can help research local history or family lines. Upstairs the fossils celebrate the legacy of the area as a premier location for dinosaur discoveries. The strgosaurus replica is one of only two replicals made from a find just north of the city. Other fossils are also displayed.
