gorgeous place, great wine

The Abbey itself is stunning! Only about a block off Hwy 50, so very easy to find. The tasting room is on the grounds, so you can see the abbey & then enjoy a tasting of the wines... read more

The Abbey itself is stunning! Only about a block off Hwy 50, so very easy to find. The tasting room is on the grounds, so you can see the abbey & then enjoy a tasting of the wines that are made by the monks. And it is VERY good wine! The best we've found in CO. The vast majority of... More

We were on our way back from Royal Gorge when we found this winery. We stopped out of curiosity and were quite surprised by a winery attached to the Holy Cross Abbey. The winery has wine tasting and has quite a number of wines available for tasting. After shopping at the wine store, tasted several wines and purchased a couple... More

We were there on an unusually cold day and had to sit outside freezing with the VIP tour which cost us 25$ each not nice. Our hostess finally let us drink the wine by the fireplace- very sad ! Good information great cheese but too cold.

The Abbey is always having events going on there. The wine is awesome. Staff is great. Wine tasting and purchase option of wine. Cute little store in the tasting room.

We'd had a glass of their wine while on the Royal Gorge Train, and HAD to get some to take home! We didn't know they did Abbey tours, but didn't have time anyways. The wine tasting was free. Our favorites were the Reisling and the Cabernet Franc. VERY good wines. Quite Pricey at $28/bottle. But nearly everything in CO was... More

The gift shop has a very nice selection of Abbey wines and good selection of gifts. The big surprise is the tour of the Abbey and its history. Don't miss it.

Small winery with free tasting. Wine was good. Depends on your taste. We like sweet and agreed on 2 bottles. Nice picnic area to have lunch with a bottle of wine. Staff was nice.

The wine was pretty decent. The staff could have been more friendly. We still bought a bottle but was surprised to learn that the place isn't affiliated with the Abbey so they couldn't tell us why the Abbey was closed. Turns out the Abbey staff was at lunch...
