Excellent trail to walk with an elevated view of the river. You walk through three tunnels. After the initial short incline hike, it's a 2 mile out then back hike for a 4 mile hike in total. Don't follow the gps directions on 'allTrails' app, just stay on tunnel drive till you see the parking. Definitely worth doing!

This offers an easy hike. The scenery is amazing. A great, free activity. My youngest was 2.5 when we hiked it and he had no problems.

What a lovely hike! It's uphill to the 3 tunnels at the start of the hike but it flattens out for the remainder. It's about 2 miles one-way and runs along the Arkansas River and railroad tracks. We saw rafters and the train along the way. It's gorgeous views of the mountains and perfect for families. Check it out!

Nice place to take a stroll if you have the time and are in the area. I would not go out of my way to visit. The walking trail has multiple tunnels through the mountain. We passed three other people during the hour or so we visited. It was quite and had some nice views. The only issue we had... More

The warning signs were a little unnerving, but we survived and the view was well worth any risk! :) The trail is supposed to be 1.9 miles, which doesn't include the slightly challenging hike up to the trail head. It is a nice, wide trail that states it is handicap accessible; however, I would be concerned about someone in a... More

Good trail with good sights of the river. Not sure how long the trail is but my husband and I walked for about a mile and then returned. Will come here again for sure!

Found this on Trip Advisor and it was well worth the stop for a great short hike. We didn't go the full trail, but enough to see the caves cut out by what I heard were old pipelines. There are some great river overlooks up on the trail.

We were spending the day in Canon City, waiting for our 3:30 train ride through the Royal Gorge, and I stumbled across the Tunnel Drive trail online. I figured we would give it a shot, and it turned out to be one of our favorite things we have done in Colorado. The walk is so beautiful, and although there were... More

Hardest part of hike is the climb up to trail. Going through tunnels is very different and the rest of the hike is along the tracks and Arkansas River. If you go early in a.m. good chance for wildlife.

Amazing views of the tunnels, the mountains, and the river. We got to wave at the train passengers down below. The trail was not crowded.
