Who knew there was such a nice trail in Canon City. We walked with the dogs about a mile and turned back. The view and the tunnels are fantastic. Can’t wait to come back without the dogs and go all the way to the end.

Another highlight in the Canon City area. This trail is mostly flat except for a short hill at the beginning. Flowers, cactus, views of the river below and the Royal Gorge train traveling through the valley combined with the tunnels makes for a great hour...More

We hiked at 8:30 in the morning, while it was still relatively cool Hike is just under 4 miles round trip (out 2 and back 2 miles each). The first 400 yards are so are moderate with a relatively steep incline (half asphalt and have...More

The canyon is most impressive, but the walk is on a super wide and immaculately maintained road bed. It's not like getting out into nature, and it's a simple out and back rather than a loop. Despite being right next to the river, it's bone...More

We visited early in the morning before leaving town and it was a great hike with beautiful scenery. The first incline was a bit of a killer, but once past that, it was wonderful. I had read on another review to turn around after the...More

Tunnels are in the first mile (or less). We walked for a bit and watched rafters in the river below. It was nice and the kids (8 and 10) enjoyed counting the lizards along the way! They counted 29!!! Easy walk/hike with kids!

After rising early to get to the Royal Gorge, we ended up having extra time. We didn't want to pay money for a family of 6 to walk the bridge or do the gorge experience, so we had an hour to use before we rafted....More

We return again and again to Tunnel Drive to walk our dogs. It is an easy walk with beautiful views. The only downside is that you need to keep your dogs on-leash (because you never know when you will encounter another walker/dog) but the scenery...More
