Feel free to stop before / after visiting the Royal Gorge bridge. Admision is "too expensive" for what you will see inside. If you are a "die hard dinosaur aficionado", this place may be for you. Interesting albeit small exhibits. Free parking.

This museum is stunning and beautiful. This grand space displays accurately scaled Skeletons in two very large galleries, with history and back ground of each dinosaur. The gift shop is very large with wonderful gifts of all types related to dinosaurs. There is a children’s area, working paleontology lab, and great docents. There is a very large outdoor walking path with animatronic dinosaurs and two ropes courses as well. The facility is just beautiful with great views. Very fun and educational. The dinosaur are accurate in scale and detail. Great attraction!!!

We drove there from Summit county, 2hrs. The drive was nice and the route we took we hardly seen another car for most of it. As for the museum it was just average. The skeletons etc were quite interesting but the dinosaur park outside wasn't really worth the extra cost. It did look very fake. Was it worth the drive and time? Yes. But wouldn't want to make a point of going back.

Interesting place but definitely not for teens or adults. My son is 12 and he was pretty bored within 30 minutes. I saw a lot of younger kids who were having a good time and enjoying the children attractions (not the museum so much) If you have young ones (under 10) I would say it may be worth the money. The ladies in the museum were very nice and informative but most of the information was available on the signs and exhibits.

We only signed up for the inside tour (which turned out to be perfect) for our 5 year old. Our tour guide for the museum was super helpful and kept all of us engaged. Our kiddo loved digging for "dinosaur bones" in the sandbox outside. The gift shop has a great selection as well. I could see that it would get pricey for all of the activities they offer, although I felt it was good value for what we enjoyed. Glad we stopped by and it's a great addition to the area; as we didn't want to hang out in the heat.
