While on a family vacation, I rode on a one hour and a two hour ride. Each ride took a different route but the scenery was gorgeous on both. Both of the horses I rode were responsive and they didn't bang my knees on the many trees we rode through. The people at the stable were very knowledgeable horse people... More

During a recent family reunion, we decided to go on a two hour horseback ride. Each rider was mounted on either a horse or mule, depending upon their size, and level of experience. The ranch hands took their time to explain to everyone the nuances of riding a horse or mule. This I felt was a sign of truly well... More

This is the second time we have taken our grandchildren to these stables. We had a great time last year and an even better time this year. They are great with kids and the ride is great (we do the one hour one).

My husband and I booked the 2 hour trail ride. Such a beautiful ride with different scenery and crossing the stream 3 times. Our horses were wonderful! Wish I had time to go again while I'm here!

While they are GREAT at talking themselves up, they need to learn how to deliver. They are obviously in the riding business for the $$$$$. We were in a large group after the owner assured us it would be small. My concern was that we'd be riding nose to tail with the other horses. She assured me that would not... More

My family and I were camping near Cottonwood Lake area. We scheduled a 2 hour trail ride and put down our deposit. There was a huge rain storm with 6 large mud slides/ rock falls about 30 minutes after we made our reservation and we were evacuated from our camp. We were not allowed to get any of our belongings... We have been riding at these stables on two different trips to Colorado. The people there are very helpful and friendly and the guides on the riding trips are career cowboys who tell lots of great stories while you ride. A good family activity.

I cannot say enough good about this business. We planned it on the phone with Renee, who was very accommodating to our schedule, and our guide, Ian, was fantastic. Ian matched each of our 5 family members up with the perfect horse for them and took us on a long ride with helpful and informed conversation throughout. He takes great... More

The scenery is WONDERFUL, on the backside of 'Mount Princeton'. Quick access to the trail from the stables. We crossed the creek 3 times which provided a needed cool down in the heat. The trail is somewhat steep and narrow in some parts and wide open in other, good variety! The horses were well maintained and staff was SUPER! Excellent... More
