We stopped by Deerhammer while we were in town to go skiing. The tour was short and not very in depth, but there was a nice seating area where people could relax and enjoy a glass of their favorite beverage. The tasting was free and we were able to try their gin, white whiskey, and their aged(2yrs) whiskey!

A fun little place to stop by to enjoy some locally distilled whiskey or gin, either to sip straight or in their custom cocktails. They give awesome personal tours of their distilling process and the staff makes you feel like old friends when you walk in. There is a nice outdoor sitting area for the summer time. When in BV,... Stopped in here after dinner and liked the cozy front and business in the back. There are select options for tasting and must say the gin is deliciously unique...more herbal less juniper-y. Loved the backdrop of the stills.

This place is really a distillery with servings of their latest (and some limited editions). Food is minimal, but this is a great place for tastings. All are specially blended and limited in quantities made. Service is always good and the inside is small and somewhat intimate. Going with a small group of friends is a nice way to do... More

So glad you enjoyed your visit to Deerhammer, John. We've got a number of really exciting projects going on though the winter at the distillery — expanded cocktail menu is in the works, and a new partnership with a full-time food truck that will focus on comfort food that pairs amazingly well with our drinks. Cheers! More

As a disclaimer, I do not like whisky. However, most of my friends do so we went here. The white whisky was delicious and the bartender was very knowledgeable regarding his product. The place is very low key and there were numerous people reading a book and drinking a glass of whisky. I think this is a must-visit place if... More

Not what I expected it to be. Their whiskey is made from malt rather than corn. I bought a bottle of the Whitewater Whiskey because of the complex taste. The single malt is excellent, and I even liked the gin which I usually don't care for. Their cocktails are unique (e.g. cucumber smoked lime gimlet). I found myself liking some... More

We stopped in here to check it out and we loved it. My husband enjoys distilleries and this is one of the cutest we have been to. The drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful!

Great staff who love their craft, and a good selection of cocktails. Nice crowd and good band in town from Austin made for a fun night.

Brought my dad here because he loves his whiskey. He loved their aged single malt. I tried the gin, which is my preference, but found it too flowery. Cute place, fun to learn about the process. Right in downtown Buena Vista.

Top-notch all-American-made Whiskey. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Venue is well-designed and has pleasant aesthetics. Even if you're a beer drinker like me stop in for a free sampler and try it! You might get lucky with live music as a bonus.
