About
Jumpin' Good Goat Dairy is a small family goat dairy and creamery that proudly produces pure, all-natural small-batch artisan goat cheese. Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains we do our very best to make sure our goats are happy and healthy, because the happier the goat, the tastier our cheese. Besides the dairy and creamery our farm houses our country store, here we invite visitors to sample not only our seasonal offerings of cheese but also other yummy goods produce right here in Chaffee County! Guests may also visit the store to sign up for one of our guided Farm and Milking tours. Offered year round our Farm tour is at 11:30am on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our herd is seasonal so that means we only milk from early spring to late summer, therefore our Milking tours are only available from late March to late September at 2:00pm Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Because we live in the unpredictable Rockies we will occasionally cancel tours due to inclement weather.

Wanted to something in town besides rafting which isn't the easiest in BV. Most stuff was a few towns over or back to the river we'd already seen. The Goat farm was so much fun, full of the friendliest people and amazing cheese and other stuff. Got to play with the animals and bring tons of food home.

We were driving through and picked up some delicious goat goodies. I think the tour is very expensive but it did look quite popular. The goat cheese curds are fantastic!

We arrived while there were not many customers there. Having the staff to ourselves was great. We learned a lot and enjoyed the sample. Of course, we bought the cheese.

We aren’t really sure what happened during our visit as we’ve read great reviews and made the trip based on an influencer’s review. That said - their trip was in 2021 and we did see a hanging sign suggesting that perhaps this property is being listed for sale?

We arranged our day around the posted schedule and arrived for the advertised 2:00 goat milking tour. The solo employee told us he wasn’t sure what we were talking about, that “she” (the owner?) was out selling, but we could feed the goats. There was some annoyance that we needed change for a dollar for the goat feed. There was an old bubble-gum machine that spit out a few pieces of goat feed. We spent a few minutes feeding the goats and then left. It was such a bizarre experience that we didn’t stay to shop the store.

Jumpin' Good Goat Dairy, carries THE MOST amazing goat dairy I've ever enjoyed! I'm absolutely in love with their creme de la chevre. And Dawn and company are amazing enough to have ready big batches when I come to town (I email or call in advance) so I can carry stores home with me! <3 Definitely go in and try samples . . . there's nothing in the country store I wouldn't recommend. It's all YUMMY!!!!!

My four-year-old and I went on the tour today and it was a charming, educational experience. Highly recommend!

Our 3 year old granddaughter was able to feed the goats and pet the sheep. Unfortunately, due to the season, some of the options were not available. We bought several of the delicious cheeses!

We stopped here on the way back from Leadville to Salida. We were able to try several samples before buying and would have bought more if we hadn't been staying at a hotel. We ended up getting some blue cheese bits, some cheddar and their first snow cheese. We ate them with some crackers the next two days while hiking and it was perfect! Would love to go back next time we're in the area.

My daughter wanted to see some baby goats. This one was on the way to our final destination in CO. They gave us a tour of the pens, the milking system, the cheese making area, and the best part, getting to play with the kids. They have a great store to buy all kinds of cheese, etc. A great place to take the children and enjoy the kids.

Grand kids loved the Goat Dairy. Saw how they make Goat cheese and Curds. Had no idea their where so many different goat breeds. I thought a goat was just another goat. Kids loved petting the goats and bottle feeding the babies.
