Quite a lot for a small place

This is a hidden gem for people interested in this sort of thing. Really quite an impressive collection for such an unassuming location with extremely friendly and helpful volunteers running the place. Definitely worth a visit.

Forefathers exhibit

I had the pleasant surprise of coming upon this gem while looking for something else! As a fourth generation military family member I was pleased to see they dedicate an area to feature family members of some of the veteran volunteers! Kids will love being able to try on the flack jackets and helmets! Heavy.

A hidden gem

We were so glad to be directed to this museum. What a wonderful dedication to the men and women who served our country. Lots of memorabilia, uniforms, stories, exhibits. It's much larger than it looks from the front, but well worth the effort to tour.

Small war museum
May 2016 • Solo
This is a great place for anyone interested in war history. Operated by local veterans. Really warm welcome and tons of detailed stories. As they put it this museum is not about stuff in the museum but about true stories behind everything on display. Even the museum is quite small there is so much interesting material that half a day goes very quickly, that is if you are interested in war history.

This was an informative way to spend time in Broomfield. Every one should take time to visit this memorial. The displays were out together well and the history ft ouched my heart. The dedication of all soldiers to our country is amazing. God bless them all.

unique place to visit
Sep 2015
Im not a Veteran, nor have I ever been in the military, so my review of this place is going to be rather limited. I can say that this place has an interesting array of antiques and relics from past wars. They usually are open on Saturdays and have a guest speaker who was in a past war that will tell you about his/her experiences they faced when they were in the battlefield. Each room in the museum is dedicated to a specific time era with memorabilia of that time. If youre into history of past wars, you should like this place.

Worth a visit - heart warming experience with our veterans
Aug 2015 • Couples
If you love history, have family or relatives who serves (served) or you just admire our brave men and women in the military this will be the place you would enjoy. We spent almost 2 hours not because the size of the museum, it's relatively small but we enjoyed talking and listening to the stories from our veterans. Some of them are from WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It's actually fun to hear first hand their experience when they were serving the country. The museum opens Saturday 9AM - 3PM but if you come any other days they would be happy to take you for tour. There is no fee/admission but they do take donation.

Great coverage of major wars

This is a small place, but worth visiting. They have the rooms organized by the major conflicts. They have a wonderful selection of artifacts and stories/explanations of all that is there. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and can fill you in on a lot!
