Breckenridge Tours - Ghostly Tales

56 reviews
Skip the typical walking tours for a ghostly exploration of Breckenridge and—unlike most travelers—see a stranger side to this historic mining town. During this interactive tour, explore haunted buildings you might otherwise have overlooked, hunt down spirit energies with the tools conveniently provided, and listen to your private guide tell spooky stories you wouldn’t otherwise hear.

My wife and I rented bikes from Alpine Sports in Breckenridge. They were really good, and provided excellent instructions about the activity. We did the 14 mile downhill run. It was mostly nice, but you do parallel the highway for various periods of time. It is paved the entire way and for the most part has very good signage. It goes thorough Copper Village and ends in Frisco. You can stop and grab a bite or a drink at either place. There is a free bus that can take you back to Breckenridge if that is where you started, or your rental company can pick you up. We thought this was a real "mountain bike" event, like going up the mountain with your bike in a gondola and riding down, but this is NOT that. This is smooth and easy riding. Good for kids and adults. You just have to watch out for the "serious" riders that can zip past you without much warning (likely with disdain for us tourists).

Please,..... getting a ride to the top and then sitting on the bike as it goes downhill , is NOT biking. " easy, fun, ride" was a 'review'?? Good Grief. You earn a downhill, by BIKING up to the top and then riding down. The pass , approached from Copper or from Vail is a wonderful and challenging ride, but can be done with some training and acclimation. You will feel much better having done this ride.

This is a great ride, especially if you take a shuttle to the top and ride downhill from there :-) Vistas are amazing, you can see mountain goats on occasion and Copper Mountain at the halfway point allows for a nice lunch or break.

Vail pass was our first planned activity on our trip to Breck and it was a great first activity because of its ease and beautiful sites along the way. Our driver, Daniel, who drove us to our starting point was funny and personable! He pointed out different areas we would be riding by on our ride back to Frisco and his recommendations on places to check out were great!

Our family did the Vail Pass Bike Rental through Mountain View Sports Rentals and it was excellent! The customer service from the moment we checked-in through drop-off/pick-up was excellent! I highly recommend Mountain View Sports Rentals!
