Butterhorn Bakery is a MUST. Busy place, but delicious and well-portioned! We always pick up some of their Cinnamon Cranberry bread, after breakfast, then use it to make French Toast at at the chalet. Yum.

Main Street in Breckenridge in early October was very pleasant with fun shops and restaurants, trees at or near their peak in fall color, and crisp fall weather.

Every single person we encountered from staff to pedestrian or fellow patron was exceptionally kind and engaging. The people of Breck make the town an endearing place to visit!

Even if you don’t want to make any purchases it’s fun to walk around. Parking is actually very easy to use.

I would contact Vistors center and see if they know if town is shut down early or close at normal time. I bet they are open until noon at least. You will love it! Restaurants are probably are open too!
