Nice place to hike, walk or picnic

Quiet place to enjoy a morning with coffee and fruit. Take in the quiet and wildlife. Peaceful and serene and not very crowded as a rule.

Great place to see Owls in September and October. Always an active place to find birds, even in the winter. Lots of room for kids to run, but dogs need to be on leash.

"Reclaimed gravel pits", "reservoirs", Colorado doesn't have enough "lakes" so they label everything lakes and ponds. In any case these are pretty to walk around, as are the Walden wildlife areas. Go on a nice sunny day, cold and windy makes them seem a little, cold and windy.

This cluster of lakes might be good for fishing. They are reclaimed gravel pits. Looking across the lakes, you can see the Boulder sewage treatment plant in all it's glory. When we visited, it was terribly windy and cold. The kids refused to get out of the car. I walk briefly with my son on the shore boardwalk. It was... More
