Wonder the trails

take a snack and wonder around. Each section of trail is short though it may be very steep. Could spend a whole day here wondering from one great view to the next.

Beautiful scenery to watch. Some animals may be observed. Fantastic photo opportunities so bring a good camera for sure.

What an easy hike, walk, or drive straightforward to the flatirons. At fordt I thought we had to hike to see them, that is not true. We drove towards them and as it started raining decided to get out and take a picture. Beautiful open field right below mountains

The flatirons are the backdrop to Boulder. These amazing ranges seem to change constantly depending on the weather and time of day. Just when you think you don't need any more photos, you have to take another!

My teen daughter wanted something more interesting than just hiking, so we went b looking for places to climb - without gear, just hands and feet. Keep going up the road and turn on Flagstaff. After a lot of cool switchbacks, you'll see a few places with parking spots and stations. Just put in your money ($5), put the ticket... More

I've been to Boulder a few times and finally made the time to climb the Flatirons. I did the 1/2 trail and with plenty of stops in the way up, it was enjoyable esp towards the top. Arrived at 830am on a Saturday, left around 11am and crowds started given it was a clear sunny warm spring day. I'm not... More

My husband and I had a short stay in Boulder and we definitely wanted to get out and get some exercise. Many reviews had mentioned how crowded the trails would be at the Flatirons. They weren't lying. However, it doesn't matter. There are many manageable trails, great parking, beautiful views, and friendly people and equally friendly dogs along all of... More

The Flatirons hike following the Chautauqua trail is a must do! During the week day, the trails were festive, but not too busy. Loved every step!

The flatirons can be seen throughout the city. You can hang at the base if the park enjoying the atmosphere, people watching, or just taking time out to be. There is also an interactive facility for keeps learning about wildlife and the various hikes available. Hikes can be short or long, strenuous or easy and there are many signs so... More

We hiked to the top of flatiron #2 with kids aged 8-4 and carrying one in a backpack. The views are amazing and the hike is fun. It's a little steep at the top so not good for someone who has trouble climbing over rocks or is scared of heights. On our way down there were dozens of groups of... More
